Fund raiser, Support

Yes, the costs of running the station and website are $900 per year. That does not even include the $780 per year for our special T1 connection and static IP address. Combine that with any new music we purchase or special items such as server software and the costs per year come out to well over $2,000.

We know that since August 15, 2001 our broadcast has been listened to over 300,000 by over 20,000 individual listeners. So, if we can just get a small number of these listeners to donate just $1.00 we could make our goal of raising $1,800 for 2002. A few kind individuals have donated more and we are much appreciative of that!

Looking in the future, out hopes are to open somesort of e-store that will allow Highlander Radio to be self-sufficient. Our first priority though is to develop the functionalty of the website, so until then all donations are very much appreciated.

I was thinking too if anyone makes a donation, I could offer an audiospot on the broadcast for anything you want to say - within reason!
