You just played a song by JIMMY DRIFTWOOD, an American History teacher after the War who was very frustrated because his students couldn't remember what he was teaching them; he started teaching them with music -- the best were funny or very sad. How do I know? My grandmother had been a schoolteacher before she married Granddad, and she turned my dad on to his stuff when it first hit the airwaves. Then my dad bought ALL his music and taped it for us kids. We sang it on camping trips and family reunions. Now our kids and their kids are all singing his songs. Thanks for playing all the fun, good music and for keeping me company!
