She had been a pioneer in the promotion of the dulcimer in the US, Japan and more recently in its revival in Belgium. As KA/PO Karen performers with her husband, Paul Oorts, a Belgian-born musician who performs on harp guitar, 10-string cittern, mandolin, and musette accordion. About the new CD "Celtic Shores - beautiful airs & lullabies for dreaming.”: The calming sound of the ocean waves is the heart and soul of the airs from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man (Manx), Brittany in France, and Galicia in Spain – the 7 Celtic nations.
