The other Boleyn girl, the book by Philippa Gregory is so much better, but it always is. And I watched The Last King of Scotland, that was wow great makes you not want to go there and have Idi Amin take a liking to you or anyone like him. Stay home where it's safe.

Normally I'm a fan of horror or fantasy movies, bur recently two movies have made me very interested.
Children Of Men by Alfonso Cuaron, with Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine : a dramatic fantastic movie.
Goya's Ghosts by Milos Forman, with Javier Bardem, Natalie Portman : a strange historycal movie that especially in the last scenes has shaked me...

I am so mad I could spit bullets! I went to see the new X-Files movie and yes, 'I wanted to believe' too that it would be fun and exciting and a delight watching Mulder and Scully again. But was it?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The movie was awful. Adverts say the romance is dealt with, but I swear to you at the end of the movie I was confused and highly pissed - my husband had to explain what was going on between the two agents. I felt so stupid. I missed some clues early on and got confused, and by the time the movie ended I was ready to go smack Chris Carter upside the head.

And another thing! I do not like horror movies. I do not go see horror movies. Well people, this is a censored.gif horror movie! The gross factor is an 8 on a scale of 1-10. And animal lovers beware - you dog fans will freak.

Grrrr! I haven't been this disappointed since Duchovny left the tv show.

The new Batman movie. It was great, but its not for children at all.

batman.gif Batman:The Dark Knight

Very very good action movie thumbs_up.gif and I agree that it is not for kids.It is certainly not the batman.gif and joker clown2.gif of oldtime.

Fools of Gold with Kate Hudson and Matthew Mac! Really cute movie and much entertainment.

The movie 21. I love Kevin Spacey! The movie was very entertaining, but not as good as I had hoped. I still loved it and would see it again. Hubby, was not so sure. Oh well. unsure.gif

WOW. Hubby and I saw 'Dark Knight' last night, and I hurt from jumping out of my seat. Hubby hurt from me grabbing his arm too, I bet. What great effects, lots of action, and the gadgets - ooh I want one of those motorcycles fer me own.
That Joker is the scariest thing!! Wow. He's a sociopath, a psychopath, an absolute madman with no conscience or remorse. Ledger did an amazing job with the role, just amazing. Seeing him in First Knight I never woulda thought he had this kind of performance in him.
I thought the movie was really fascinating, very well written and thoughtful with Batman dealing with moral issues and complex situations. Poor Harvey Dent... and I just love Gary Oldman as Gordon, and what fun to see Anthony Michael Hall as the tv reporter. Remember him from Sixteen Candles?!?

rolleyes.gif Ladies, I swear Christian Bale is a stunner. Gorgeous! He looks better this time than in the first Batman movie.

My sentiments exactly, Leelee. They should have stopped at 2. But if you go in with the mindset that you just want action and special effects, its a blast.

The last movie I watched was The Matrix Revolutions on DVD.

BTW, because of the Matrix & LOTR trilogies, Hugo Weaving is the person who appears most in my DVD collection. I call him "Agent Elrond" biggrin.gif .

unsure.gif Wow! After reading the posts above, I kinda feel like a weinie - my sister talked me into going to "Mama-Mia". It was cute, but I don't think I was the intended audience. I thought how they strung some of the songs into the story wa a bit contrived and some of the actors are really not singers, but they pulled it off to make a really decent movie - even if noboday blows up! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
