So who needs to cut grass? That's what I have kids for! king.gif

The problem with that is, I do not have any kids at home anymore. All I have to mow grass with is a Reel Mower. That is of my choosing. I do not like those loud motorized mowers. They are very annoying. kwasny.gif

Ah a beautiful SNOW DAY. Being self-employed I can take a snow day any time I want, but since it did snow last night I decided I might as well take it today. So I ate breakfast went to the Library. Now i'm going to sit back listen to the music and enjoy my books.

Well, I don't have to worry about that (the kids moving out) for a few years. But, as I have over a half an acre of land, I can't see going without the riding mower. A reel mower would be more peaceful, but would take me forever.

I have 2/3 rds of an acre and I spend about 20 minutes daily cutting my grass. By the time I get it done, it is time to start all over again.

I do get my exercise this way and it is peaceful but so is wading the river. rolleyes.gif

Richard, I couldn't agree more! I hate having to listen to those awful things start up at half-past Dawn (which comes at 4:30 am here in the summer!) and run all day because the Landscapers have all the neighbors around us signed up for mowing services. Yeesh! Why can't they just mow their own lawns?? We have more yard than they do, and I mow it all myself. I keep threatening to tape record all their noise, and then play it back at full blast out on our back hill around two a.m. disgust.gif I bet that would get their attention!!

These same neighbors have signed up for Leaf-Cleanup services in the Fall, too, so we get to here those industrial-sized leaf blowers all day. Fun. I really am getting it all on tape one of these days. You'll all be reading about a woman who's been driven out of her gourd by lawn crew noise! *grummble, grummble*

If you tape record all of that noise make sure you put the giant speakers out on the lawn at 5:00 Sat morning. and turn it all of the way up. Now don't expect any Christmas cookies this next season from the neighbors.
Should we all chip in and just buy you some earplugs?

I am very interested in knowing what a snow snake is! unsure.gif

Snow in San Antonio? Wow! Bet it was beautiful though. Thanks for the picture. It looked beautiful.

We are having beautiful weather still. A little on the chilly side, but it would be warm for all you snowbirds! biggrin.gif Just wait till the summer and I will be here griping about how hot it is! cool.gif
