Our church has begun a movie night evry once in a while. And seeing as how St Patrick's day is coming up and as seeing as how I own almost every celtic film there is I let them borrow all three of my St Patrick movies. They went with St. Patrick; The Irish Legend. needless to say the night was a total sucess. We had a small Pot luck before hand and popcorn, etc during the movie. Everyone loved it. The movie is on sale at Walmart right now for $7.50 in the seasonal section. It's a little hokey (made in 2000) but it's heart is in the right place.

"Irishness is not primary a question of birth or blood or language; it is the condition on being involved in the Irish situation, and usually of being mauled by it."-Conor Cruise O'Brien
So I was at the movies yesterday - all by my lonesome, hubby had to work - and watches Beastly. It's a great movie. A modern spin on Beauty and the Beast. It's well done but of course a typical "chick flick" as my hubby calls them.
I guess it must be true. We were only 5 people in the theater (well it was 1:30 pm) and only women. LOL
Just watched "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolee. It was good, however, some of the stunts looked a bit fake. But I did enjoy it and would watch it again.
I managed to catch the tail end of Stone of Destiny" the other night on the Canadian channel. Its about a group of people who try and succeed in getting the Stone of destiny back to Scotland. Just form the little bit I watched I found myself enjoying it and now the hunt in the local DVD bargin bins begins. This allstarted from seeeing a mythhunter type show where the guy actually thinks he found the real Stone of Destiny. Of course they never do a proper investigation or show any follow up but it was interesting. The mythbuster type of show is on hulu somewhere.
I took some little people in my fmaily to see Journey 2 in theaters. It was alright, it had some funny parts. Michael Cain makes things pleasant as well
Most recently, I watched Smokey and the Bandit II. My Nanu loves those movies
My personal favorites are Black Hawk Down (One of the best war movies I have ever seen), of course Braveheart, The Robin Hood with Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman is sooo much better than the Russel Crowe one (I loved Gladiator though and I know the two Robin Hoods are about different points in the legend), Tombstone is definitely the best Western I have ever seen, Micheal Collins is slow but great, Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer are awesome foreign movies, as well as 9th Company (Russian movie that reminds me of Full Metal Jacket a little bit) and Arn the Knight Templar (Swedish movie), Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro are two of the best animated films I've ever seen, all of the Resident Evil movies and the Transporter movies are superb, and last and certainly not least, the only movie that makes me break down and cry every time I watch it, The Passion of The Christ.
I absolutely LOVE Frozen.. My favourite song is Let it Go that Queen Elisa sings. She is my favourite character out of Frozen then Sven the Raindeer. I hope to see the Hobbit part 2 soon, kind of frightened because I know Selob (cannot spell her name) is in this one and I HATE spiders :S

I got a new radio for my car, and one of the features is a DVD player. To test it out, I played the two-part series "Call to Blood" & "Ladies of Hell."
For anybody who like history & bagpipes, this is the perfect set.

I saw Star Wars The Force Awakens, I don't want to spoil it for anyone, though will say reminds me a lot of the first one. Saw it on the prequel night. BTW today's my birthday.
