Yesterday my Daughters took me to see the new "Star Trek" movie and I must say that it is the best one yet made. It was not what I expected and it was Excellent.
I don't know how many times I watched this movie, but every time I enjoy it again. In my opinion there are precious few movies with so many profound humour paired with the newer American history... and suddenly the laughter freeze in the face and you could cry... a really great movie.

I agree with you, InRi I can watch this movie many times. I find that this one is a Classic - in my books
Momma Mia. Didn't think I would like it, but I really enjoyed it.

Ischillinger; No IMAX near me but I agree it was the best damn Star Trek made. They should have been making them like that all along. With the exception of Uhura the cast was fantastic.

Camac.
I heard a couple of people complain about her! I thought she was ok. Chekov was a bit over the top for me. Though he did provide some comic relief! I've actually become a trek fan in the past year or two, so this was a big treat for me. I got hooked on the Enterprise series and realized perhaps I didn't give it a chance before. I'm glad I have though. I went and saw the movie again last week, am thinking of possibly going again this weekend. I have developed a crush on the new spock I actually like the new Kirk a whole lot better than Shatners Kirk (He really annoys me). The cast has signed on for two more movies after this, so I'm already excited to see what they do...and if they fix the story line.
There is actually a three or four part comic series that came out before the movie that explains a bit of the background and leaves off right where the movie starts. If you really enjoyed the movie and trek in general I highly recommend reading it.
