Yea, I am about 80 miles north of Barddas and it was plenty warm and with all the rain we have had, Barddas you had better look out for the Miami River flooding down there. With all the flooding up here you are bound to catch the brunt of it into the Ohio.
Temperature right now here is a balmy 28 degrees F. Well it is normally for winter here.

May your days be filled with Merriment and May you walk in Balance with Creator.
Send that 28 this away...today it's 76. Yuck! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I'll send you my snow shovel to go along with the snow you want. I'll even throw in the sore back that comes with shoveling it too .

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
And the temp dropped to -37*C (-34.6*F) and -48*C (-54.4*F) with the windchill.

There is only one way I'd go outside in that temperature: if I was wearing three layers of clothes, four pairs of socks, some wool-lined boots, two hats (including the hood on my parka), and a welding mask to protect my face.

That's too cold for snow sports. If you tried skiing in temps like that, you'd end up losing your ears, fingers, etc. or you'll be taking the loooooong nap in a snow drift. You can't even take a dirt nap out here, it's too cold to break ground.

Ahem.....that's why I live in the desert! May be hotter than in the summer, but at least you get to wear hardly any clothing! Our winters verra mild indeed! Do you want to chop my head off now?
Hi Derfel, Just viewed the pic of the dog, looks like he is enjoying the weather, He looks a lot like my wee dug actually except Sandy (short for Alexander) is just that a sandy colour, and isn`t too happy at the moment with the heat here.
I actually got him from an animal refuge, and was told he was probably a cross between a cocker spaniel and a retriever but don`t really know for sure, but he sure looks a lot like the dog in the picture.
anyway all the best to everyone, Elly
Bessi is a Muensterlaender, and she is already happy to be outside with me!
It is currently 4 degrees F with a light skiff of snow.
I did go on a Fox Hunt one time when it was -24 degrees F and a wind chill of -35 degrees F. We were out for one hour, jumped one fox and quit. No we did not get the fox either.
