What are some of your favorite scenes from movies?

Here are some of mine:

Ben-Hur: the chariot race
Titanic: the party in 3rd Class
LOTR:
1. FOTR: Frodo volunteers to take the Ring to Mordor
2. TT: Battle of Helms Deep
3. ROTK: Aragorn's coronation

Harry Potter:
1. Sorcerer's Stone: The Quidditch Match
2. Chamber of Secrets: Inside the Chamber of Secrets
3. Prisoner of Azkaban: Harry meets Sirius Black

The Matrix: The shootout in the lobby
Animal House: Bluto's well-meaning but historically inaccurate pep talk

I love that one laugh.gif .

Hmm....

Ever After: When Danielle and Maurice are walking home and Maurice sees his wife and they run to each other. It's so cute!

Peter Pan ( the new one ): The last fight with Captain Hook.

Practical Magic: Midnight Margaritas!

There are so many others... I just can't think of anymore right now smile.gif

hmmm, let me think on this, I must agree on the lobby scene..
Fire Swamp scene from "The Princess Bride"
Number 5 vs the other SAINT robots in Short Circuit "Hey Laserlips! your momma was a snowblower!"
"Buckman! There was a fingernail in my food! Yesterday, it was a band-aid!" "Sorry sir, the band aid was holding the fingernail on" "What else do you put in you sauces, Buckman?!" "It's an old family recipe, sir" "Jesus, Buckman! This stuff's been on the Stingray since Korea! This can expired in 1956!" "What's the matter sir? it still tastes like cream corn." "Except! It's Deviled HAM!!!!" "That would be a problem, sir." "The captain's gonna hear about this!" -- Down Periscope
The scene where Dark Helmet finds out he's surrounded by @$$holes in Spaceballs
The quote at the end of the Pig Lizard scene in Galaxy Quest is probably the only really good moment in the movie, but it's classic. "What happened to the Pig Lizard?" "Ohh, nothing" "It turned inside out... And then it exploded."
The final scene in the original movie of Dune. "YOU MUSN'T SPEAK..." SILENCE!!! "Arrrrgh." "I remember your Gom Jabbar. Now you'll remember mine! I can kill with a word!" "And his word shall carry death eternal, to those who stand against the rightous." "The Rightous!??" "There is a Harkonnen amoung you. Give the Harkonnen a blade. And let him stand forth." "If Fayed wishes, he can meet you with my blade in his hand." "I Wish It!" "No! Let me. Please, My lord." "The Emperor's blade..."

The more time I give it the more I'll probably think of... And, of course, be able to quote.

Last of the Mohicans - "The French haven't the will to fight"
- ambush scene, GREAT tomahawk work
- Wes Studi's (Magua's) facial expressions and overall portrayal

The Patriot
- "aim small, miss small"
- Canon ball takes off Continental soldiers head and legs
- "Dog makes a fine meal"
- "These are exactly the type of men we need. They've fought this type of war before"

Master and Commander - Far Side of the World
- "The lesser of two weavels"
- The guy sitting on the head (at the figure head) as they rounded the horn. A touch of authenticity rarely seen.
- "Is that his brains?"
- Flintlock ignition on british cannons, again a great touch of authenticiy

Dances with Wolves
- Suicide scene
- Running buffalo scene. God I'd love to do that some day.
- Not much else, otherwise a pretty trite flic

The Matrix
- "I think he likes it"
- Lobby fight scene
- Final fight scene

The Matrix Reloaded
- car chase scene

The Matrix Revolution
- Everyone who ruined what had the potential to be a really good trilogy died. Otherwise it pretty much sucked.

American Treasure
- That damned wire nail during the climax (other history buffs will understand)

Easy Rider
- Great bikes

True Grit
- "Fill your hand you son of a **TOS VIOLATION**" and ensuring fight scene
- "Not bad for a one-eyed fat man"

More later

Agree on the Braveheart scenes.

But for Robin Hood...I like the use of this scene in the Bugs Bunny cartoon!!

Also, from We Were Soldiers...the broken arrow scene.

I'll think of some more.
