I envision sitting between my two air conditioners, drinking ice cold beer, waiting
impatiently for winter again!

This works for me - Smoky Mountains, Cades Cove at dawn. After that, virtually ANYTHING in the Smoky Mountains! Love it!

Gosh even here in Florida we have had to wear winter clothing (sox and shoes, sweaters tongue.gif

Even though our crop damage has been over 273 million, the strawberry plants were able to survive. Yay!!!!!!! But corn, cucumbers and green beans roughly went from 8 to 30 dollars a box. Ouch!

I love Cades Cove too. I go there quite often but my most favorite was when it was covered with snow.

I look forward to the longer daylight hours also. More time to be outdoors. And if gas prices continue to go up the way they are calling for I will be staying closer to home this summer.

Oppressive heat, sweat causing clothing to get wet and stick to the body, hot humid air which is VERY difficult for an asthamtic like me to breath, long miserable days at work, the mercy of my air conditioner...

Sorry, but summer is my LEAST favorite season. Winter is tops for me, followed by fall (because winter is just around the corner), spring is third (because I know summer is just around the corner), and summer is dead last.

You guys and gals really have some great answers. I am dreaming can hear the bees. Wizard I remember you have a hard time in the summer. I must say I like winter the best I hate the wood smoke allergies. I too love fall but I have to say I can't wait to see my grass again and this negative -20F can just stop it. lol.

Here here!

Summer is my transformation time. I seem to take everything I've learned over the year and then I grow accordingly. Summer makes me think of butterflies, bonfires, no classes (correction, nothign but art classes artist.gif ), camping, bike riding, and days on the Great Lakes! It'll be here soon!

Hey jmparrish, don't forget the art studio that you are going to build this summer!

In SW Florida summer means 1/2 the population has gone back up north. No long lines in the stores, no long waits at resturants, room to spread a blanket at the beach, etc.. Everything slows down for a few months. After almost 16 yrs here, I do miss spring & looking forward to summer arriving. There is no real spring here, last winter was a couple of weeks that it only got up to the mid- 60's & 3 nights in the low 30's. I know, you all feel so sorry for me! Just enjoy those wonderful spring flowers, the birds, and that first run into the still cold lake water.

I think of the beach, bike riding and hiking in the mountains. Here in the Pacific Northwest our summers are wonderful but oh so short. We spend all winter and spring inside waiting for the rain to stop so when summer comes it's outdoors..

BTW, for you folks sitting between the air conditioners I don't even own one. Need to stock up on all the heat I can get....

I would have to say...gardening. I love being outside working in my veggie garden!
