In Kentucky, there is the Kentucky Scottish Weekend in Carrollton on May 7-8 In Tennessee, the Gatlinburg Scottish Festival takes place May 14-16 I maintain a large list of festivals on my website if you want to find festivals around the world. Festivals are listed by date as well as geographic area. I have been building and maintaining this list for over 12 years now. http://www.kelticnations.com I noticed from your profile that you are in Henderson, Kentucky. I held a contest, ending in the fall, where individuals could vote for their favourite pipe band. The prize was two rings for the most popular pipe band to be used to raise funds for their pipe band. The winner was from your neck of the woods in Evansville, IN. The Evansville Firefighters Pipe and Drum Corps received over 500 votes. They just recently held a draw for the rings at a St. Patrick's Day fundraiser. |
