Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! My name is Sarah and I am new to posting at the forums here, but I have been listening to Highlander Radio for about the past five months. I absolutely love it. It is such a great alternative to the sorry excuses for radio stations in my town smile.gif To let you know a little bit about myself, my interests are music (most genres, but especially Celtic and Bluegrass), horseback riding, artist promotion, and going to concerts. I am a self taught guitarist and mandolinist. I am a college student studying for a career in the music industry, hopefully as a promoter or manager for solo artists and groups.

Have a wonderful day!

As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all from my desk just outside our nation's (US) capitol.

As on most day's I am enjoying the streaming audio as I work.

RE: the references to corned beef and cabbage in some earlier posts.

It is my understanding that this was a taste acquired by the many Irish immigrants to the New England (read Boston) area. The "New England Boiled Dinner" of corned beef, potatoes, and cabbages was part of the very limited menu of foods that would keep through the long winters.

cheers.gif
To all who frequent these hallowed halls:

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
May the leprechauns be near you,
To spread luck along your way.
And may all the Irish angels,
Smile upon you St. Patrick's Day.

Just a brief St. Patrick's Day greeting to all those out there who have Irish blood running through their veins and all those that wish they did.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Great White North. This morning Mitch Seavey won the Iditarod. At my house it's currently +18 degrees and snowing.
