test? On what???? What did I miss??? Was I sleeping in class again? |
Posted by: TheCarolinaScotsman 08-Jun-2006, 05:19 PM |
True No false No True No, I'll go with False unless it's "C" |
Posted by: Aaediwen 08-Jun-2006, 05:40 PM |
it's 'C' ! The answer is always 'C'! |
Posted by: stevenpd 08-Jun-2006, 06:15 PM |
How can the answer be "C" for a true/false test? Man, I'm tired . . . . |
Posted by: Aaediwen 08-Jun-2006, 06:31 PM
using Boolian logic False can also be represented as zero 'C' is represented as 67. Since C then is not zero, it is not false. So the answer of C on a True/False test would be manifest as True. Also, if you want to take it outside of the programming concepts, then False is the absence of something. If that something is not defined, then it would be the absence of any value. Since 'C' then is a value, it would be true. Again, on a true/false test, C is represented as True. |
Posted by: marti64 08-Jun-2006, 06:40 PM |
When in doubt, pick c....it is always the right one.....then there is always maybe??!!! all of the above?!!?!?!?!? |
Posted by: Aaediwen 08-Jun-2006, 06:48 PM |
It's definately not none of the above, since that would be false on all counts, and according to the logic above, false would not equal C. Therefore none of the above would not be C. However, maybe, and certainly all of the above, could be valid answers. Except that they are not exactly C. Since they are not equal to C, they would be incorrect. |

Wait a minute!v There aren't little bottles involved are there? NO WAY!!!!! |
Posted by: marti64 08-Jun-2006, 07:01 PM |
Ok, I'm lost!!!! I gotta go back to sleep!!! Aaediwen, I flunked Logic Class....you completely lost me!!!!! I will stick with MAYBE!!!! Marti |
Posted by: Aaediwen 08-Jun-2006, 07:06 PM |
Ok, we know Marti is not Vulcan! However, I'm a little lost on the little bottles. I will admit that I try to stay sober when programming, so at least no 12 oz bottles. Until after the logic is done. |

See, the answer is "c" as in, "C, the answer is 1847AD." Or was it Napolean, I forget now. |
Posted by: stevenpd 08-Jun-2006, 10:32 PM
Now we're getting somewhere! But I do think it would be shorter if we had made that left turn back there. According to this map the time is 23:30 UT. Of course, that would be totally dependent upon whether Aristotle or Socrates believed in the Blue Gin Genie. Does that answer the question with sufficient clarity or do I have to drink some more? |
Posted by: Dogshirt 08-Jun-2006, 10:36 PM |
Let's drink, there's no blood in my alcohol system!hic |

Posted by: Madadh 09-Jun-2006, 09:38 AM |
The last time I went for a Urinalysis test I told them that I had been studying for several days. My wife is pissed because I have been filling all of her vases. |
Posted by: Senara 09-Jun-2006, 10:21 AM |
I never did well with multiple choice or t/f tests...my best scores came on the essay exams. I think my teachers loved the creative way to the conclusions I came up with. |
Posted by: j Padraig moore 09-Jun-2006, 10:53 AM |
Has anyone ever had one of the those dreams where you show for a test and you are naked? Don't look at me, I may be naked!! |
Posted by: Aaediwen 09-Jun-2006, 05:32 PM |
Granted I did not administer this perticular test, but my best guess would be that anyone who posted has passed. Since the value of any of those posts would be True in a boolian expression. Which it has been shown that since C == True, then anything that == True, also == C. Since the answer is always C, anyone who answers True or C has passed |

Posted by: Senara 05-Jul-2006, 10:41 AM |
{evil laugh} and you thought the test was going to be that easy...... You have one hour to answer the following essay question: Why do most American's give back their vacation time (not take vacation time off) and why is it that other first world country businesses allow their employees more time off than American companies? This is a closed book, open note test. You have one hour to complete it. Completeness of answer and grammar/spelling will account for your grade. Oh how I loved those kinds of tests....heh |
Posted by: sisterknight 05-Jul-2006, 10:56 AM |
easy answer........because americans don't know how to really relax......i mean how can you truely???canadians/montrealers can relax at a drop of a hat especially if wine is involved (une petite cinq á sept!hehehe), beer for the country set and mixed drinks/champagne for the hoy-fa-loy!!! so did i pass? |
Posted by: Rindy 05-Jul-2006, 11:04 AM |
lol I LOVE tests.....I love to be challenged....... Slainte |
Posted by: Senara 05-Jul-2006, 11:30 AM
D- Not enough detail in the reasons behind doing so. No examples of why it's not possible, and too many elipses indicating improper grammar. Better luck next time. at least that's how my college profs would have graded it. My high school teachers wouldn't have even accepted that as an answer and just flunked me without reading. |
Posted by: sisterknight 05-Jul-2006, 11:38 AM |
elipses????? hey everything is spelled correctly........my franglais must count for something. was the answer incorrect?do americans know how to relax?i mean wars, your president, 9/11,etc must give you some pauses in the thought process. you teachers are all the same, urg!!!mine used to tell me to stop at 100 words! |
Posted by: Senara 05-Jul-2006, 11:49 AM |
don't worry too much...it's not like the test really matters anyway. Besides if you're that hung up on a grade you could always do the extra credit work to bring it up. |
Posted by: sisterknight 05-Jul-2006, 11:50 AM |
ooooo i'm slavering already!!!nothing like summer school hehehe |
Posted by: stoirmeil 05-Jul-2006, 12:05 PM |
What was that old test for a systems analyst? There were many parts, but two of them had to do with assembling an AK47 which is completely in pieces (a tiger will be let into the room in 90 seconds), and remove your own appendix using a razor blade, cotton balls, salad tongs and a bottle of peroxide (do not close wound until the work has been inspected). The extra credit essay had something to do with restructuring the UN to retain the decisional balance while removing all future potential of veto or abstention lockups. |

Relatives! Talk about a test of endurance. Or a test of patience. Or sanity. |

How many pints does it take to drink Farrell under the table...heh. (a more adult version of the Tootsie Pop test) |
Posted by: stoirmeil 11-Jul-2006, 01:02 PM

Posted by: Dogshirt 18-Jul-2006, 04:59 PM |
It happens as we get older! Remember telling yourself that you wouldn't say "That" to your kid? Well, experiance takes over and we tell them "That" because by now we know better. Can't be helped, comes with life's lessons. BUT, we don't have to grow up just because we get older! So keep ACTING young and you will STILL get in trouble with SOMEONE! Usually my wife! |
Posted by: Dogshirt 18-Jul-2006, 05:01 PM |
This by the way is a TEST of maturity. Can we still get in as much trouble as when we were kids! I can. |

It's an EYE test, you don't need a pencil. Now cover your right eye and read the bottom line. |

Posted by: Perkeo 24-Jul-2006, 10:07 PM |
I could be sick for a very long time....how much does it count toward my grade? |
Posted by: Dogshirt 24-Jul-2006, 10:17 PM |
It COULD count for a LOT of your grade. |
Posted by: TheCarolinaScotsman 25-Jul-2006, 06:30 AM |
Taking a page from good ole Miss Brown (12th grade English), your grade counts for 40% of your grade and your attitude counts for 60% of your grade. And yes, I determine your attitude, so get with it and grovel! |
Posted by: haynes9 25-Jul-2006, 07:53 AM |
Someone talked about making up a test. Now listen, I don't want to take a test in the first place and I'm dead sure not going to make one up. Wait a minute. . . if I make up the test, I'll already know all the answers! Let ME make up the test! I would be happy to do it! By the way, what's the subject? |
Posted by: crazykiltedcelt 25-Jul-2006, 12:56 PM |
Just because we wear kilts does mean we need makeup too!! I will not stand for a makeup test unleast it is on stage during Drama class. AT last poor Yorick! |
Posted by: Dogshirt 25-Jul-2006, 05:45 PM |
There is no need for you to get testy! In fact, as moderator of this test, that is MY job. Now open your test books, pick up your pencils and begin. You will have 1 hour to complete the test. Now THAT is getting testy! |
Posted by: marti64 25-Jul-2006, 06:19 PM |

Just think, one atom could be the universe for someone else . . . And our universe could be nothing more than an atom in someone else's fingernail . . . Just think of the possibilities! |
Posted by: marti64 26-Jul-2006, 08:20 PM |

Posted by: Dogshirt 26-Jul-2006, 08:47 PM |
Perhaps we're testing your ability to keep up. |
Posted by: haynes9 27-Jul-2006, 12:02 AM
So, if I clean my fingernails, have I destroyed someone's universe? Should I not clean my fingernails or would I then flunk the personal hygiene test? And what about someone who colors there nails? Wow, this is getting way too complicated for me. Just give me the test! |
Posted by: stevenpd 27-Jul-2006, 10:36 AM |
