Step outside tonight and view the full moon. It will be 14% larger and 35% brighter than any full moon this year. Why? The moon will be at its Perigee which is astronomy talk meaning the moon is at its closest approach to earth in its ellipical orbit. Tonight and Friday night should be a spectacular event. I will have my grandkids out watching this through my telescope. You will not need a telescope to enjoy the view.
last night in montreal the moon looked like on eye in the sky, it was double ringed in a rainbow!!!absolutely amazing....wish i had my camera then.....

non nobis domine, non nobis sed nomini tua da gloriam.
We had the most wonderful full moon tonight - BIG, and very bright; I spent some time outside to watch it whenever it got a chance to break through the clouds - and the night wasn't dark at all, the light everything was bathed in was awsome. I went back inside with a most peaceful feeling.

The moon was beautiful here in the north Georgia Mountains. But when I see that big full moon in the sky all I can think about is the number of births we will have that night, and the strange behavior that it brings out in people.
the strange behavior that it brings out in people.

You got that right gwenlee, very strange indeed.
But I prefer the good side of nature by just sitting there and enjoy the scenery before my eyes and like gabby says you get that feeling of peacefullness inside.
