An interesting blog, I just find the rhythms of celtic songs more to my appeal, particularly of sing song rhythm so often found in gaelic singing.

Otherwise your conclusions and observations would seem reasonable.

I find the breadth of celtic music, anything from classic harps to rowdy and loud celtic rock groups with much intermingling of other forms to be much more interesting than today's "county music".
