Watched the movie, "Hide and Seek" with Deniro and Dakota Fanning. I know this movie got a lot of bad reviews, I really enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of both actors, so it was all the more worth it for me.

I checked out Unseen Cinema from my college library--if you're interested in turn of the 20th century experimental film I recommend this collection. Otherwise, I've recently watched Nine Queens ( in Spanish but subtitled) and am looking forward to seeing the new Spiderman release.

I finally got to see James Bond Casino Royale- I think it was the first Bond film that I really liked. I liked the ones with Sean Connery, but I thought this one was just really well made and the actors and actresses did a mighty fine job.

I would say thumbsup.gif laugh.gif

I borrowed that this weekend from the library. Daniel Craig was good as 007. No Sean Connery though.

I did finally see Eragon which I loved. Have the book too.

Has anyone seen Spiderman3? It's taking in a lot of money..

I am really excited about the Pirates Of The Carribean-At World's End I can't wait to see this movie.

Saw Spiderman 3 on opening date and it was a wild ride. There are so many story threads its a wonder they manged to finish the movie with them somewhat tied snugly together. Its a bit darker and more serious than the other two with a little bit of comedy here and there (yes, Bruce is back!) and the pace is a bit fun to try to keep up with. Gwen Stacy's chracter was spot on with the comic. Only complaint was that they could have showed just one really good close up of venom with his comic book type of smile and tongue hanging out. He is moving so fast it's hard to get a good look at him. And I would have liked to see Spidey throw out some of his usual wisecracks during the fght scenes. Worth the money? Yes but I'm still waiting for Shrek 3 and Pirates to see a fun movie!! i think they will top Spidey's dollar amount.

Watched "The Good Shepherd" last night! Holy cow! Was that ever a complex film! Not sure if I like it or not but plan to watch it again and make a better decision.

I went on a movie bender last week because I had so many free coupons expiring. I rented Open Season, The Pursuit of Happiness, Deja Vu, Casino Royale, Charlotte's Web, The Good Shepperd and 3 others whose names escape me at the moment.

Unfortuantely, I guess wasn't in the mood for movies as I didn't watch them all and can't say I flat out really enjoyed any of them. None of them really made me sit up and go "Wow". I think I'm becoming a curmudgeon! unsure.gif

I borrowed the Disney/Pixar movie "Cars" from the library. It is amazing what they can do with computers, isn't it? It's about a race car that gets lost on the way to the big race and ends up in a dying town on the old Route 66. There are several people who've made their names in auto racing who lent their dulcet tones to the movie: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip, Mario Andretti and Michael Schumacher.

Was wondering what everyone thought of Sean Beans The Hitcher? dakcam did you like it?
I haven't seen it yet do you suggest it?

I haven't seen Spiderman or the New Pirates of At Worlds End or 300 but I plan on seeing them when they come out on dvd but I have only heard great things from all of these movies.

Hi Rindy,

I never made it to see Apocalypto, but got to see Hot Fuzz and Shrek III. Hot Fuzz was somewhat funny and had it's bloody moments; Shrek was OK, but not like the first one (everyone's a critic tongue.gif ).

At this point the only movies I'm waiting for are Pathfinder and HP+OOTP. Speaking of HP, I've already ordered my UK adult version of Deathly Hallows from Amazon UK with rush delivery - got the hard-bound book on sale for just under £7, but will be paying nearly £22 to get it to me two days after it's released from Bloomsbury unsure.gif

Have a great summer and save some popcorn for me!

Best cheers! Robbie
