so far i have had 7 favorite horses, eventually going to find 8th(probably preety soon).  the latest was Cranberry, who lives in Canton now and is soooooooo much fun to ride.  soon my barn will be down to 15 horses!!!!!  aiyah!!!  I want some new horses to ride because most are owned.  in the meantime I have my hands full with finding a horse to ride in my lessons. Next time I post I'll put a pic of Cran and I jumping.

::viking Well pictures are always nice.
My first favoite horse, besides the ones on TV, was Sapeio. He was a red quarter horse, owned by next door neighbor's big sister's new husband. He got named for a town, because that is where he grew up, and when he was purchesed, and taken to another ranch, he just went home.   He was the easist horse for us kids to catch when ever we went to the ranch to ride.
Moca Fudge is my favoite now, thought Winter and Red are real close next.

My Maggie is loving the cool weather now, we have had a lot of rain and of course she has to roll in the mud and she gets covered head to hoof. She looks like a giant mud pie and it all happens in a matter of seconds. Oh well, that and a hundred other things goes along with owning a horse. I'm gonna half to start making her some of those special treats that Highland Lassie posted a while back. I like to give her special foods when it starts getting cold.

Happy Trails to All You Horse Lovers! :D

::viking Speaking of your Maggie did you get her breed? We're still not sure about Fudge, but she does seem to be getting fatter.  Little Mcdonald lassie is still hoping, for her Pepper Flower, to come on her birthday.

I remember when we had a foal at my barn.  My had the mom, dad and the baby.  The dad's name was Singer, mainly because he would always be whinnying and it sounded like singing.  he was really preety, being a black and white paint shetland.  my mom nicknamed the mom Abby after me(her "real" name was PG) and the foal(colt) "Boo".  Boo was the cutest thing ever!!!

Maggie did not take when 'she went a courtin'. We decided to breed her next year. Usually when the weather gets cold, they don't come in 'heat', so probably about March she'll be ready.

you guys are too cute!!
last May, our Chatterbug was very pregnant and ready to go. We went to sleep and the next morning we woke up and there was 2 horses in the field. We originally just had 1 the night before! Poor brand new uncle Reo. HE was in the next paddock. The look of pure confusion on his face!!!

And now, baby Zorro runs circles around his uncle.. and won't stop!    ::lol

::viking Because he seems to be having trouble with the cold this year. We got Red a winter Gobaby hood, the kind that goes over the head, shoulders, and chest. He is out prancing around the field, as if he is singing "I'm so sexy in my shirt". ::hehe He is so spoiled, and such a card.
