O'siyo gtrplr, ~ Wonderful and entertaining story indeed! I do have one question..how did the clean, pressed red ribbon become bloody when pulled from his pocket? Is the reader suppose to believe that when he was 'shot' thats when the ribbon became blood-stained?..Just curious! A story that kept my attention! Great job! ~~Sty-U

Well, that's one explanation. Perhaps the ribbon he pulled from his pocket was the one the landlord's daughter was wearing when she died. Or. . .perhaps someone else will come up with a better explanation.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you all enjoyed it.

Wonderful angle on the story I like it! Great retelling Only thing I saw, maybe it was just me, but a little bit of the dialouge near the beginning got a little too heavy on the 'he said' 'said he' feel. Didn't last long though Nice work! Great story! Definately kept me reading, and some interesting twists in it.
gotta tell ya. I enjoyed the story very much. the way it was told, the use of accents, the twilight zone feel to it was all very nice. It is a very well done piece
