Actually the Scottish fair was last weekend on the weekend of Feb 18th. I ment to post but never got around to it. Been very busy up here.
The whole event was great fun. Highland dancing, demostrations, bagpipe bands, vendors, food. Kind of a preview for the Highland games in May. The fair was at the Landmark center were it is held every year. Just don't go by the map directions on the Landmark Center website and Facebook. The map puts you in a trailer park on the east side of St. Paul. Highland games are in a different location. The landmark center is located downtown St. Paul behind the Excel Energy Center which was hosting some hockey convention. The Science museum across the Street had the Real Piratees exhibit. You can imaging the looks people gave each other in that three block circle. And there is the Liffey Irish pub two blocks away from that. I managed three out of the four, sorry hockey fans.
I manage to snag lots of goodies including a new kilt, CD's and lots of tee shirts. Finally was able to try haggis (yes, the wife and I both liked it), bridies, and meat pies. Lots of whiskey but sadly no mead. Picked up two bottles of a new whisky that is hitting the states called 2 Gingers. Good stuff when mixed with ginger ale and a lemon in a Tom Collins glass (Big Ginger) but there are alreadly lots of recipies for it on the net.

So here is the website for the whole Scottish fair and Games if you want to come up and have some fun. See you there!
