I just saw on the Old Blind Dogs website last night that Jim Malcolm, lead singer and guitar player is leaving the band, later this year. The positive spin on this is that the last set of concerts by the Dogs (with Jim) will be at the Dublin (Ohio) Irish Festival in August. They may try to do something of a "farewell to Jim" concert in Scotland after that.
This is too bad. I really liked Jim and he seemed a personable guy, like the rest of the Dogs are. I plan on going to the Irish Festival in August, so I'll get photos, etc...

Like an idiot, I stepped all over your post. I did not see that you had already posted about Jim. Sorry about that!

I, too, am sorry to see him leave. I don't think they are going to be out in the west, but I would love to see the whole group intact one more time. They put on a great show.

I already have penciled in the Dublin (O.) Irish Festival (Did you know it is the largest Irish Festival in the USA?). The Dogs will be playing there that weekend. I will be there!!

Grew up in Middletown. Need to find an excuse to get up there biggrin.gif ! Looking forward to hearing bout it!
