Hi everyone! I was just wondering if there was any Wiccans or Pagans out there? I have seen some people talking about how they study Wiccan but there aren't that many posts under The Grove.
I myself am Wiccan and have been practising for about 4 1/2 yrs now. I am a solitary witch and at times it gets a bit lonely to practice by myself. My best friend is also a wiccan but she doesn't do her studies or is into it at deeply as I am. I have at times thought about joining a coven but I like the freedom to do what I want. Are there anybody out there that is in a coven?

White Goddess,
Yes, I am also Wiccan, I am in a coven although we call ourselves a temple. I am actually taking classes and will be Dedicated this Saturday. I am planning on continuing my studies so that I will be a full Reverend. I have been very excited about this since I started classes. If you want to know more I will answer any questions you have.

Merry Meet VetteGal,
It's nice to talk to another fellow wiccan. How long have you been studying in your temple. I really don't know much about covens since my mentor and I use to practice alone together but she's moved away and we don't talk anymore for so for about the past couple of years I have been flying solo. I really don't mind but when I find new info or buy a new book or even find a new web site I really don't have anyone to share it with. My best friend like I said practices but doesn't do any studies and barely rarely ever does any spells which if fine it's her choice but it's nice to talk to other people who are wiccan as well. Here where I live we have 4 different new age shops that I love going into. I feel so comfortable going there and the owner is really nice, she's a High Priestess I think...I know that she is a clergy for sure. So tell me more about what your studying and the different levels you have within your temple.
Merry Part till next time!

I was a pagan, but not anymore. I discovered that only the love of the Lord Jesus Christ can lead to light and eternal life.

He only has the future in His hands.

White Goddess,
There are two levels to our studies, right now I am working on level 1. Level two will make you Clergy, and with it the legal ability to perform handfastings, wiccannings, and lead rituals. Our temple is Qabalistically based. Right now we are learning about the tree of life and the rituals that work with it. It is very interesting, but somewhat confusing. I am still having problems with my meditating in that I cannot stay focused, I have always had problems with that though. rolleyes.gif And to you Tassie, you didn't like it when someone came into Kirk and Chapel and was explaining things through their view, so just because you changed to be a Christian doesn't mean you can come into the grove and disrupt it. I was brought up Lutheran, so I do know the Christian side of things. I don't like alot about organised religions. So please do your preaching to the other sheep. In other words, I have a brain, I don't need to be told how to run my life by people that really need to look at their own lives. Sorry, White Goddess for that bit of a rant but, it needed to be said.

I happy for non christians to come in as long as they are prepared to be challenged with truth.

"Having a brain" means just that doesn't it? - being open to being challenged in a search for truth.

Those that know the true God are not threatened by alternative views.
sorry, I didn't know there was a 'membership badge' I had to wear here, is it not an open forum?

Tassiedarlin'...you're splitting hairs and you know it. We play nice in your forum, we expect the same courtesy with ours. Real simple. You knew you were stirring the pot. Stop it.

Ladies and Gentlemen as moderator of this forum I say tolerence by all for all should be exercised. Some of us post in the christian forums and some christians post here... I have seen nowhere that either forum is closed to outsiders! Let us treat each other with respect. If you have a concern with any posts here in the "Grove" please contact me with it. I want this place to be open to all opinions, and I would like all to think of how they are saying things before they say them when things start to get heated.

Every Member of Celtic Radio is welcome to post in the "Grove" their opinions and thoughts, but let us all keep it to that and leave the converting to the streets where it belongs.

Now let us get back to the original question.

Don't worry about it VetteGal, I know how you feel as I do as well. So what different things do you study in your level 1. When I first studying I as well had a problem trying to mediate and sometimes still do depending on where I am and what's going on. If I'm in the house I like to play some soothing music to help me get into deep mediation. I love listening to Enya, I have a certain CD that I play that helps me into mediation pretty deep. If I choose to mediate outdoors I go to my favorite spot in the city. I live to go to the river that runs through my town and sit on the bank and just listen to the water rushing and it helps as well. If you need further help I have notes on different mediations that you could use. I've used a couple myself but more or less have collected them for when the time is right for me to pass on my studies and teachings to someone else. I don't feel that I will help anyone new but in the future I do foresee it!

To meditate one must clear the everyday clutter from their mind. Everyone has a method that they swear by... but not every one method works for others.

Consider what relaxes you the most, then use that for the jump off point for your meditations. Once you can master that it all becomes easy.

I totally agree with you Shadows! It took me a quiet awhile for me to get use to clearing my mind so I was able to mediate and once when I started doing that I found it way easier to mediate!

If you mean what things do I do....

I use the herbs and plants that the creator gave us to help the sick, to empower others to see their path, and walk amoung the worlds to help spread the wisdom of the ages.

I see people as they are and things that others don't see .

These are gifts that are not easily learned but bestowed on one by fate and awakened by ones mentor.
