Hey everybody! We all have stress, here's a place to vent that, thanks to my late-night tryst with my PC and the need to let out my humorous side through life's little stressful moments!

I'm currently stressed...maybe it's a mixture of the holiday season juxtaposed with finanical issues, I don't know! Feel free to let it all hang out...I sure as heck am going to!

Woooo.....

Anyways, here we go...here's my rant!

Thanks to the virtue of modern technologies, the Pillsbury Doughboy has acquired a clone. Yes folks, you heard it right...the doughboy we all know and love from those spunky little pastry commercials has given into the whole cloning thing and asked a team of French geneticists to assist him in creating a complete clone. "He was born on December 1, 2004 and the officially named "Lil Pills"," says Pillsbury spokeswoman Janetta Hargrove. "Afterwards, he was rolled up into a huge ball, flour was applied, and he was shaped into a miniature, infant version of the Pillsbury Doughboy!"
When questioned about the infamous cloning fiasco, Pillsbury Doughboy (or Pills) made one comment. "We can finally say we have a son of our own!" says Pills, speaking for wife, Betty Crocker. "Betty and I were married a couple of years ago but we just couldn't have kids. I'm dough and always busy with traveling...she's a cake baker; we did the next best thing!" The couple reside in the snowy Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the village of Bakersville.
There is even talk of a reality TV show starring the family in the works.

I tend to use humor as a mode of venting my worries and troubles...I also use music, writing, and painting/drawing but you feel free to do whatever!

Just keep it entertaining, funny, and above all as mischevious as possible!

disgust.gif Work, Work, Work, Running here and Running there, that's all I seem to do anymore and I am RETIRED. disgust.gif I just wonder how I managed to do everything I do when I was still working. unsure.gif

Trying to remove all the Spybots from my Computer. After running the Program to remove them it tells me that it can't get one of them and that I need to restart and run again and after 9 time of doing the same thing it tells me to do, it keeps coming up with the same response. And YES I did read the Tutorial on how to run the Program. disgust.gif

Had my neighbor yelling at me that I was stupid for mowing my own yard. He said it was 30 below and I was dumb for doing it. I politely turned to him and said "Yes, but it's still growing". wink.gif Anyhow, I need the exercise.

I think I just need to get away and go FISHING! biggrin.gif

OK, Now I have vented and now I feel better. wink.gif

This may be the most profound statement that my friend, Lady Elspeth, has ever made! tongue.gif It expresses the concept of being stressed MOST clearly. biggrin.gif

Personally, I think adults in general take too much in on themselves, and do not know when it's getting to them, to just quite and relax. They don't seem to take much time to themselves, to let themsselves vent.

It than builds, and you get what Elspeth said...ARRRRGHHH!

It's sad, the holiday season is supposed to be one of joy and happiness.......I hope your still having that happiness with that stress! newyear.gif MSNGIFT.GIF beer_mug.gif

I ride the bus to work every morning. These are called chivas, which means goat and they are usually a small Toyota minibus fitted with four long bench seats in back, and a couple of fold up jump seats on the sliding door side so that people can actually get to the back. For those of you that live in the states, real public transportation is probably a little hard to understand, but here, as far as being able to travel from one place to another, it is quite good. You can travel to absolutely any part of the country on some form of public transportation.

Each small town has a bus cooperative operating, and you don't even need to leave your house to catch a bus, just call the terminal and they will come by and pick you up. Anyway, this morning I overslept, when we called for the bus the first available was full and leaving so it meant about a fifteen minute wait before the next one started it's route through my little town picking up passengers. So by the time it got to pick me up I was really late. The best seat is the front passenger seat since it has the most legroom, but of coarse, it was occupied so I went in the back. I was the first passenger back there and picked the farthest seat to the back on the side with the jump seats. Although this seat is one of the most cramped and uncomfortable, it has the advantage of having a window that can be opened and it is impossible for another passenger to just reach over and close it without having to come through me. biggrin.gif Just to help clarify how important that is, Panamanians get cold easily and in a small bus packed with 16 passengers it never fails that some little old lady will reach over and start closing windows because she is cold or doesn't want her hair mussed or something. That drives me crazy.

As the bus made its last circuit through town loading, a lady got on that obviously is one of those people that are somewhat challenged in life. She is a regular passenger, but usually I am on an earlier bus. I will strive harder to maintain that in the future because as she moved to the back of the bus to sit in the seat in front of me the heavy waves of too much cheap perfume moved visibly in the air around her. It was so heavy that it displaced the available oxygen almost causing a loss of conciousness. Fortunately I had my window open and was quickly able to simultaneously turn slightly to catch some fresh air and at the same time shoving it open a little more and also feigning sleep to discourage any request to close it. (Quick thinking on my part).

The bus left town for the twenty kilometer ride to La Arena and as it picked up speed a nice breeze came in helping to dispell the horrid fragrance of unidentifiable scent that had filled the air of the bus. But then as I sat there, color returning after my brief period of cyanosis, I watched as she pulled out a compact and started reapplying make up to her face. I thought you were supposed to wash the old stuff off first but then I really don't know much about that not using it myself and having the sense to marry a lady that doesn't use that stuff. Or maybe this passenger thought that she should touch up since she was now in the company of 15 other people packed like sardines in a 14 passenger minibus. Words fail me here, it is impossible to convey the horror of this scene and luckily I had been running late and had not had breakfast. Again, I will try harder to travel on an earlier bus in the future. For some reason I find this irritating, a sort of disrespect for the other passengers. Of coarse, this is an incredibly polite society, and no one said anything, but if the guy sitting on the other end of the seat I was on had been able to regain conciousness I am sure he would would have been offended also.

I'd like to thank all of you for choosing this thread as a place to vent your stress...I feel better about the holiday season because I'm excited to be with family and friends!

I guess I let my work get me stressed because I work at a call center in Kentucky and have to answer to a lot of people. It's just very stressful at times and I tend to seal everything up until the weekend. Things are going better now because I can vent through recording/writing my music, my writings, and talking with my friends and family about problems and stresses.

Keep 'em comin' folks and don't be afraid to introduce yourselves in the process because I have just gotten back into posting on Highlander after neglecting it for several months. Thank you!
