Celtic Radio Community > Technical Support > I Can't Get The Station To Play Since I Signed Up!

I was listening to Highlander Radio without becoming a member. I liked it so I signed up for the free Live365 and now I can't get anything to play! I get a pop up window which asks for my username and password. When I enter them it says they are not valid. They work fine for signing in to Celtic Radio.

What you use to sign into Celtic Radio is not necessarily the same as what you use to sign in to Live365. (They are not the same system.) Highlander Radio uses the Live365 streaming service, but the Highlander Radio site is a separate site entirely from the Live365 site.

If you registered for a Live365 account, then you'll need to use the username and password you used to sign up for that account. If it's not letting you sign in, you might need to click a link on the Live365 login page that says "Forgot Your Password" or something similar. That will probably send your information to the e-mail address you used when you registered for their service.

If you registered for a free Live365 account, they might also require you to activate that account by clicking a link in your e-mail or something similar. If you never got such an e-mail, you might want to check your junk mail folder. (Also sometimes called a spam folder.)

Finally, registering for a free Highlander Radio website account does not also sign you up for a free Live365 account. If you signed up for a highlander radio account, which your profile says you did yesterday, then welcome to the community! Live365, however, may require you to sign up for their service as well. It's been awhile, so I'm not sure.

Maybe someone more familiar with Live365 could be more help?

I have the Live 365 and signed up for it before I found CR. They will let you have it for free I think for 7 days then you have to pay for the use. I still use it and pay for it the reason for that is I get other music that I listen to (more Celtic stations). When you were getting it was it a radio that looks like a car stereo?

Well, I don't know if things have changed, but I still have a Live365 account that I don't pay for. So unless I've been grandfathered in, and they no longer have the perpetually free account available, they still have some sort of free service.

However, I don't really use it much anymore, since I'm a Founder. smile.gif I use the web dealie, which works superbly. smile.gif

That's something I didn't mention. If you like Celtic Radio, and you don't listen to other Live365 stations, become a Founder! smile.gif

Wow, thanks for people jumping in and answering Nephredana!

As far as I know, free accounts are still available on Live365. The problem might be during peak listening hours you need to be VIP Live365 members (paid). This usually happens sometimes during 10am to about 3pm. Weekends should not be a problem.
