| Please, please, no more Celtic "Grunge"! A while back on the poll I, along with the majority of listeners, said we liked all styles of music being played on Celtic Radio. However, I daresay a majority would vote against this genre. Whether at work or home, I doubt the majority of Celtic Radio listeners flail about in their own personal mosh pit to this style of music! Celtic grunge? Can you give an example of a few songs in our database that would be considered Celtic grune?  |

Is "grunge" considered rock? I think Wolfstone is Celtic grunge. Anyway that's what I read.  maggiemahone1 |

| "Grunge" is more "Seattle Sound" of the early Nineties - very raw guitar riffs, not very melodic. Nirvana for example. Wolfstone would probably be classified more "hard rock." |

I'll keep listening, and try not to reflexively hit the "stop" button when I hear one. I *believe* there may have been one by the Scottish Rogues, but I don't want to slander anybody out of place!  |

| Celtic music changes with time... but I never heard something like Celtic Grunge here... I think Wolfstone are more classic Celtic Rock. I like the variety of songs that is played here. Not only jigs, reels and airs. If it was only those sort of music I surely wouldn't listen constantly.  (btw: what's so bad about grunge???  ) |

| Are you also interested in modern celtic music? I have some fine french-celtic rap. They have at least one song that almost all listeners of SWR3 (my favourite german station - playing a lot celtic pop/rock music) like. It was in their charts on no 1 for 12 weeks. Manau - La Tribu de Dana (The Tribe of Dana) I can rip it and send it thru to mac5 if you want. |

| Manau is quite good. Their first album with "La tribue de Dana" on it is great. They talk about old celtic legends and the place of celtic culture in our world.If you need a translator for the songs... |

| I can translate them too My French may be a bit rusty but I can understand almost everything. I was thinking of "La Tribu de Dana" or "Le retour du roi", my favourite songs. I would also suggest Fiddler's Green. Their music is influenced by quite alot other stiles and they call it "Independent Irish Speedfolk" http://www.fiddlers.de (don't worry, their site is also available in english) and Paddy Goes To Holyhead. Their former singer is quite remarkable. I like most of their songs, too. http://www.pgth.de (but here I'm afraid that their site exists only in german. For Questions: ask me  ) |
