I don't have permission to re-print/copy the story, but it is one that I really would love to share.
Many know of Flora MacDonald and her helping the Bonnie Prince escape his jail.
So here is her story.

Flora MacDonald was a clanswoman of my boyfriend :)

I like that story. It's wonderful. There is a Flora MacDonald Memorial on Skye (at least I think it was on Skye... hmmm, can't remember, it's been a while).

I do believe you are correct in thinking Skye. North Carolina, US has a college with her name attached. They also host the Flora MacDonald highland games.
The Flora is also my favorite dance..if not one of the longest nationals. That dance I won my first 1st place medal too. For some reason, i can identify with her struggle and passion and that comes through in my dancing the Flora. At least, that's what the judge told me ;)
She has a neat story and is definately one of my heroines.
