That sounds really cool. Unfortunately right now keeping my children's schedules in my head is more than I can manage. Maybe someday.

Gia dhuit Wiz, (Wizardofowls)

Conas atá tu? (How are you?) Tá mé ceart go leor. (I'm fine.) Roisín is ainm dom. (My name is Roisin in Gaeilge.)

I'm learning Gaeilge (Irish Gaelic) right now. It is slow and comig since I'm learning from a site all by myself.

P.S. Great idea Wizardofowls, Maybe you can help me out sometime if your learning Gaeilge?
Sláinte!

Oh, darlin' I would LOVE to help except for one small problem - I'm learning the Scottish Gaelic! And our online group is for the Scottish variety as well! I'm so sorry! sad.gif I should have clarified that in the initial post! I hope, someday, to learn Irish after I have mastered the Scottish, but at the rate I'm going now that will be a LONG time in the future!

Here are some comparisons of the two, though!

Conas atá tu? (How are you?)
In the Scottish, this would be Ciamar a tha thu?

Tá mé ceart go leor. (I'm fine.)
Tha mi ceart gu leòr.

Roisín is ainm dom. (My name is Roisin in Gaeilge.)
'S mise Ailean.

Bail ó Dhia ort (The blessings of God on you).
Beannachd Dé ort

Interesting, no?

Very interesting!

There already is a Scottish Gaelic Thread in the Scotland Forum---CelticRose is a part of that one. Go and check it out. Catriona is the Moderator over there and her wealth of knowledge about Scotland is enormus.

Peace,

Allen, does this mean you're going to Scotland one day? Or have you been already?

I am planning to go next year and Catriona is helping me with all that! She is wonderful about helping with anything pertaining to Scotland! She doesn't know Scots Gaelic though! tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Hey Rose

Does your Irish gaelic site have sound clips. I am interested in learning some Irish Gaelic for songwriting purposes. Also I have a CD that is entirely in Gaelic and I do not know if it is Scots or Irish variety but I would love to know what they are saying. biggrin.gif

Peace

Mikel

I can't remember the name Jason. It is one of those in that song contest that I have been doing the screening on. I just finished it and I have this disk still laying on my desk at home. I will look and post it tonight.

BTW the York Street guy has been putting Arminta off. We may have to pull out the big guns and have me call him tongue.gif

Peace Mikel
