My favorite is a wonderful dish served at the Macaroni Grill, spaghettini w/mushrooms and pine nuts and shrimp and spinach.... My favorite pasta in general is spaghetti. Don't mess much with those strangely shaped pastas... |

I like spaghetti salad. Spaghetti noodles (instead of lettuce) in Italian dressing with diced green peppers, onions, cucumbers, Salad Sprinkles and Parmesian cheese. |

My favorite pasta is Spagetti Carbonara. It's best when made in Italy. It's made with Ham or bacon, cream, eggs and white cheese. The very best I always felt was made by a family my husband has known for more than 20 years (yes he's a heck of alot older than I) over in Piza Italy. But 2 visits ago to Scotland we went to a Pizzaria that's right down the hill from the Wallace Monument about 15 minutes from Sterling Castle on the edge of town and ate there. I ordered my favorite of spagetti carbonara and it was the best I'd ever had. My husband identified the cooking immediately and asked to speak to the owner. Come to find out he was from Sicily. They got to talking and knew some of the same people who owned resturants...(yea, he likes to eat) Small world! |

Ah, lasagna - such a wonderful dish. Lots of meat, no veggies. Spaghetti is great as long as you don't use those tiny noodles. Angel hair = yech. The spaghetti is done when you can throw one at the wall - and it stays there. |

So for left over's you collect the stuff off of the wall? Handicap pasta? Must come in a can no one can open. |

I like spagetti as much as the next person, but if I am to eat it it must be tomato-y and meaty, with nice seasoning like basil. And not too much sauce as well, because it is supposed to accent the pasta, not bury it |

Miammmm ! it seems we have the same tastes ! But what is Alfredo sauce ? Is it with tomatoes ? |

Bow tie Pasta with spinach and Bratwurst margarine melted on top (yum) |
Posted by: urian 21-May-2004, 12:56 PM | ||
Hmmm...simplest way to put it..it's a light cheese sauce. No Tomatoes. |
