I looked at this forum and saw that not one of the topics was about welsh! True this is the GAELIC language forum, but I would consider welsh a gaelic language even though it doesn't have gaelic anywhere in the name. I didn't see any language threads in the welsh forum (I think) unsure.gif But, if anyone knows any welsh I think we could get people to learn it. I for one am interested and I know it is a hard language to learn, but all the better to start earlier. The only thing involving the language was the posting of a possible language course online, but it would be much more fun to learn it with people I already know (everyone here). So, where is the welsh?

I am very glad you asked!! I am actually working on Welsh, Manx and Breton right now... trying to get at least another sort of lesson plan up. Right now I just have a word list, but not a pronounciation guide... so I am looking for some resources. but I will be getting something up this week I hope for the three I mentioned. Patience is a virture... I don't possess it, but please be patient with me and I will get to the welsh! I am marrying into a welsh family, so its a new study of mine!

Congrats on your marrying! And of course I'll be patient if I want the course to actually be a good one. So I'll stop bothering you.

'Tis never a bother... and with as scattered as I've been lately a reminder in an email or PM or anything would not be considered nagging... With work, writing, wedding and gaelic its been interesting to say the least!

I just received a phone call from Barnes & Noble that my Learn Welsh CD's and books have arrived. So, if anyone is still interested in learning Welsh, we can try this together. I would love to have Danann, greenldydragon and Welsh Guy's help with this if I could! It would be great to get an actual lesson plan together on this one. I looked at the BBC site, but it was convoluted enough to not seem easy for the absolute beginner! At any rate, let me know if you are interested, and I will try to gather stuff together this weekend.
