The website finally started to work about 2AM EST. It declared me a Libertarian with my "star" doting the second "i" in the word "Libertarian" on the chart.

Libertarian.

--------------------
The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge.

It called me a liberal libertarian. My star was dead on the border between the two and almost touching the corner of centrist.

It shows me as a Centrist (like most Canadians) leaning slightly to Conservatism. I believe in the past I have explained that I am a Blue Liberal so for me the chart is pretty accurate. Of course I'm not an American so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Your answers suggest that you are a libertarian. The yellow star shows more precisely where you fall within the libertarian region of the Nolan chart.

I have been professing to be Librataian for more years then most even knew what it was! I have supported Ron Paul for almsot as many years.

My yellow star is in the lower right portion of the libratarian portion of the chart.

I find it funny how the questions were worded in this poll... very slanted choices of answers.

I agree with Shadows. The questions were definitely slanted. Someone wanted to make Libertarianism to appear more mainstream and therefore more acceptable to a greater number of people.

Shadow;

If your reply was meant for me I can emphatically say I am not a Libertarian. The Libertarian Party of Canada although a Registered Party is largely ingnored in Canada. In the 2008 election they recieved less than 8,000 votes. I personally do not adhere to any of their philosophies and believe in big government. Remember we have a number of social safety nets in Canada and I am all for them.

That was the answer given to me by this quiz and not directed at you, where did that idea come from?!

Thanks MacE for posting this! It was interesting.

I was a centrist leaning towards liberal. I suppose it is my proximity to Canada?

The question pertaining to homosexuals should make this point plainly obvious.

In addition to my last comment, I retook the little quiz and answered the most conservatively as available from the choices. I got right on the border libertarian/conservative. Interestingly, there are five areas in which one could be categorized: liberal, conservative, statist, libertarian, and centrist. Of course each question only has 4 choices. huh.gif
