Tell us all!

Mine is Loreena McKennitt, especially "Bonny Portmore". Irish Rovers though are a close 2nd :D  (d) .

You know, you can reply to this thread.

BTW, look to your left. I'm no longer King of Scotland. How appropriate that "Scotland The Brave" started playing on my MP3 player :p  :D  (b) !

I replied "other" (even though I have great love for many of those listed) because right now my favourite group is Flogging Molly. :)

I'm the other 'other' who has voted!

Capercaillie and Runrig are past favourites - but I have to be honest and say that I find Gaelic singing can get a bit, well, shall we say 'turgid' in tone?! :;):

That's the trouble with us Lallans' speakers - no romanticism in wur sowells... :D

I wonder who the other two votes (1 other for Ms. McKennitt & 1 other "other") were.

I voted for the 'other.'  I have no favorite, I just can't seem to make my mind up, Mike.  :p There are so many good singers!

No, I didn't. Just ran out of room for the choices.

OK! I voted. Like maggie, I like them all .  I voted, for my first love. They were so much a part, of my teen years, that hubby and I sang the unicorn song, to our babys. My kids sing it, to their babys. When the group was in a lower Michigan city, my son took his kids to the bar/pub, to see them. The group was so pleased, to see the kids (ages 8 &5, who were more than happy to join right in), that they stayed late talking to them. :p  How could I not vote for such a nice group?

I love that song. I even have it on MP3 on my computer.
