This just in!

A report from www.irishabroad.com says that Irish actor/bad boy Colin Farrell sings on the soundtrack of the movie Intermission. Here's the story:

Colin Farrell?s Now a Crooner!

By Tom Deignan

It?s not enough that Colin Farrell is world famous, wealthy, a new dad and romantically linked with the likes of Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie.

No, the guy has to go and become a rock star, too.

Farrell can be heard crooning on the just-released soundtrack to the new Irish film Intermission. Farrell?s song has been making the rounds on several Irish radio stations, and presumably is about to go mainstream here in the U.S.

Farrell sings the roustabout rebel classic ?I Fought the Law (and the Law Won)? with fitting reckless abandon. For those who have not yet heard the song, go see the film Intermission when it opens the New York Film Fleadh on March 18, and in theaters the following day.

If you stay after the movie, as the credits rolls, you?ll hear Colin do his rock star bit.

As angry as Farrell?s latest stroke of good fortune may make you, it must be said that Farrell does a passable job singing the tune, complete with a Dublin accent that sound so rough and rugged it nearly sounds exaggerated.

No matter. Back up by an arse-kicking, guitar-heavy rock ensemble, Farrell sounds like he?s having the time of his life singing.

Perhaps that?s because he is having the time of his life. Who wouldn?t in his situation?

The Farrell tune is just one of several good ones on the outstanding Intermission soundtrack. There are classics such as U2?s ?Out of Control? and Fun Lovin? Criminals? ?Scooby Snacks,? as well as a wide range of other tunes from Clannad, Ron Sexsmith, John Murphy and The Thrills.

This way, you can buy the disc without feeling that all you are doing is contributing to Colin Farrell?s already massive popularity.

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

I'd like to hear it. I for one like Collin Ferrell, He's a very good actor. And as for his good fortune, If you have a good talent, use it. If I was in his shoes, I would do the same.
