| Nothing special about the Irish? Not if you are a member of the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada. Apparently, the Irish labourers whose lives were lost building the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rideau_Canal from Kingston, Ontario to Ottawa, Ontario, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, were of no historic significance.
