Hello everybody:

I´m a spanish male from the antique region of Castilla, that, fortunately, have discovered this amazing website and its nice forum.

I´m, more or less, young (26 years old) and I discovered celtic music some years ago with some folk shows and cd´s in Spain (north of Spain). By the way, I love folk irish music since I watched it in a travel guide on tv. One of my "objectives" in this life is to visit Ireland to listen that music while I´m dancing -like a spaniard foreigner- in one of those incredible pubs. Did you know that Ireland and Spain are the two main countries all over Europe where we have more pubs per inhabitant?!

As I´m completely new here, I´d thank very much any kind of tutor that could help me to find nice folk/irish music. I´ve listened too much music, but usually it´s too boring for me, because it´s quite slow. For example, I love this kind of music:

If you can suggest me whatever, I´ll be really grateful.

Thank you very much for this welcome wink.gif

Hope to enter here as often as possible.

Best wishes.

Welcome to Celtic Radio. There's music of all types. Here's a few samples.

You may enjoy Mairead & Cora.

Or this one after the long introducation. Joyce & Ruth O'Leary are the violinists dancing in the video and they perform under the name Sephira. In this video they are part of the Celtic Thunder Band.

Hello, sacrilegum, from the great Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. Good to have you with us and hope you are discovering some good music to your liking.

Among some groups that I like which would fall under your category would include Dervish, Altan, Lunasa, Danu, Bua, Grada, Beoga, Cherish the Ladies, to name a few. There are some Scottish bands that can also get it going, including Old Blind Dogs, Paul McKenna Band, Capercaille.

Hope this give you some ideas. You can request music from any of these groups under the Music Tools. Welcome aboard and have a great day!
