This is obviously not something that I want to hear! Any time someone in the genre decides to stop, it's disheartening to all of us. It's especially tough when it's great musicians. At least you've left a legacy in the music and fans. Thanks!
Since it's tough to get it out of the blood, I'm sure we'll hear a resurrection in the future... somehow.
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
We headlined Radio Radio for an annual benefit that we have participated in since it's beginning to raise money for Second Helping Food rescue (aka "The Tonic Ball")
We did 3 songs total starting with "and She was" by the Talking Heads (the theme for the venue we worked) We then moved on to "Loch Lommond" (complete with choreography) and ended our careers with Blaq Lily with "An Turas" from our "Forged in the Fire" CD
The room was so full that everyone that wanted to see our last gasp could not get in and I do believe that in almost 8 years I have never heard or seen a crowd cheer and yell for us quite like that. There was certainly not a dry eye on stage or in the green room afterwards.
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt
The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- Herbert Spencer, English Philosopher (1820-1903)
Michael aka Raven, has been getting the itch lately and they still have all the songs that were written for the cd that was never made. It's still in a talking stage but this is progress that hasn't been seen in some time. Greg always told me, that someday, he and Michael would be back in a band together again. Time will tell. I hope it happens.

I hope so. They were becoming one of my favorites and I was looking forward to a long and prosperous career before they were cut short.
