What kind of coffee do you make and do you make it in the morning upon waking or the night before?

I use Foldger Breakfast Blend medium and I make it the night before.

Do you take cream or sugar? Since my hiatial hernea I take cream powdered. I like the french vanilla Coffeemate brand.

It drives me nuts if I don't make the coffee at night.

In the morning my coffee is from work, which is regular Folgers - and I like it. They say a littel cream or milk helps reduce the teeth-staining effect so I have fallen into the habit of always having a wee bit. But my work doesn't have decaf, so I often add a bit of hot water. Now and again, I also get that reflux effect... old age...

Hi Rindy!

Right now I am into organic coffee. It's so much better! Coffee that is certified organic is grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. Yes, it is more expensive, but helps supporting coffee farmers and workers by paying a decent wage.
I grind the coffee beans and always make it right before I want a cup or two. Milk or cream is a must, but I have given up on the sugar recently. I didn't even know that flavored coffee creamers existed until I moved to the US. Growing up in Europe I am used to strong Espresso, and even the occasional cup of very strong Arabic coffee. msncoffecup.gif

Mine is from a local place, and it's a dark roast. The way I make it, it's received the (somewhat) affectionate moniker Morning Thunder. If it doesn't jump out of the cup and slap you awake, I did something wrong.

I make a pot in the morning, drink about half of it, then I'm the first one in the door at work, and I make it there. I like mine somewhere around mooing. Half and half or death. Milk if I absolutely must.

After learning how to make fireworks with Cremora, I just haven't looked at it the same since...

Hmmmm, most favorite is Highlander Grogg, freshly ground right before and with half and half. During the fall I love Pumpkin Spice and for winter I do Blizzard. What do you think of the McDonald's McCafe coffees?

MacDonald's coffee is often rather good, but I do not like their iced-coffee at all.

I only drink coffee in the mornings. If I have any in the afternoon, I'm cannot sleep. That goes for anything with caffeine. sad.gif

I prepare the coffee maker, before I go to bed, and set it on timer. I wake up to the most lovely aroma of Kirkland Signature, 100% Columbian Coffee; Supremo Bean, Dark Roast, fine grind. I take my coffee with a little sugar and milk to take the edge off thumbs_up.gif Tried it black and all I can say is ....."bitter bean juice" tongue.gif

The only coffee I will drink black is original Turkish Coffee my brother makes when he is home from his job overseas. smile.gif

I don't think there is anything better than a hot cup of your favorite coffee along with a slice of lemon meringue pie or apple sauce cake. I had to give up the 'real coffee' - that one with the caffeine. Decaf misses it all the way around! Folgers decaf will get me going in the early morning as long as I can pretend that it is 'real' coffee - huge effort some mornings!

I drink two cups of coffee a day. Maxwell house at 8:00 am and a Tim Horton's Double Double at 2:00pm. When I worked 12 hour night shifts I would drink 20 cups of coffee each and every night.

I like coffe in the morning and afternoon. White with no sugar just sweetner, have to cut back on sugar since becoming diabetic. No particular brand. Also like it with a dram of whisky added. caffeine does not seem to affect me .

I like a local brand called Stewarts, but I can only find the small cans at certain stores and it is not cheap. I also like the Maxwell House breakfast blend. I drink it black.

I make it in the morning because my bedroom is right off the kitchen and the smell of coffee keeps me up.

Kirkland Signature blend roasted by company in the Pacific NW. (excellent coffee without the cost of 'buckys) Great oils; low in acid! Warmed, or occasionally, steamed milk. Set a pot in the morning and usually have one on in the late afternoon.

I'll tell ya one of the greatest advancements in the coffee world for me is the Keurig single cup coffee makers!!
I love variety in coffee. I get all kinds: Kona, Caribu, French Roast, French Vanilla, Dark Roast, Hazelnut, Donut Shop.....
It takes 1 minute to get ready and now that I have figured out the timing system it's ready to go on a push of a button right when I get downstairs.
2 cups in the morning for me and every once in a great while one later in the day.

Freshly ground extra dark beans, made extra strong smile.gif I buy Brazilian beans and grind just enough for my pot of coffee the night before.

What I would really LOVE is to buy green beans (unroasted) and find a coffee roaster. Now that would be a fresh pot of coffee!
