This is an attempt to get the new and quite members to talk a little. I know when I first started here in MK I was a little intimidated to write in the threads but after a wile I got to be more comfortable. So the big thing is topic. It should be something we all know so I think weather would be good, Does anyone remember WKRP in CINCINNATI( old TV show) there was a guy named Less Nesman (the weatherman) and he wanted to do a daily announcement called "I Spy Weather" where he would look out the window and tell what was going outside, so just look out the window and tell us what is going on in your Kingdom. like this

To day in Galafray we are having thunder showers and 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen since early this mourning it is 66 degrees and expected to get up to 80 for a high with thunder storms for the rest of the day.

" great I took the day off to do some major tree trimming I have put off since last year"

Something like this mix it up a little and have some fun with it.

So as Al Roaker would say " What is happening in your neck of the woods ? "

Today it will be around 90 degrees. Hot yes, but a welcome change to the recent thunderstorms we've been seeing lately. I'll be going out of town to so I'm glad we'll have nice weather to drive in.

WKRP was a great show! Watched it all the time.

Sounds like a nice system you've got there. I on the other hand am playing on my trusty old Emachine. My husband has done alot too it though and it runs really well, (I can't tell you what mind you, lol).

The weather is nice and warm here and it's supposed to be all week pretty much. Looks like summertime is upon us once again!

Ahhhhhhhhh..........the old Emachines smile.gif That is what we are presently running, and it's showing it's age, even with the upgrades that we've done to it along the way.

Emachines are a royal pain in someways, having propritery software and hardware that is not easy to upgrade, which is why we usually build our own computers from scratch.

I'm looking foward to finishing this machine, knowing it will be upgradeable !

I was starting to wonder if this thread was going to get any replies, Lord Bakersville thank you for getting things going a little, and a thank you to the rest. This is what I was wanting to do, just have an open thread to chat on what ever is easy for you to talk about.

Now write the less or none posting members in you clan and tell them to post what ever they want, from coon skining to how to cook it or anything they want.

Now for my throw back from the past, my I spy weather:

Today we are having a humitemp . of 110 and there has been a heat warning since Sat., untill who knows when, at least the next week, if not till Sept., Actual temp. is and will be for the next three days is high 90's to low 100's. There is a high possibility of sever thunder storms in the evening brought on by the high temp.'s.

OH, Yes yes summer time is here.

Enjoy, stay well hydrated and have a good day !!!!

I went down to Gatlingburg, Tn this weekend and it was insane how high the humidity was. We've had bad thunderstorms all week and it was just so muggy you could barely breath after all that rain. It got up around 95 or so and the humidity had to easily be over 100%, perfect vacation weather! cool.gif

Anyway we walked through most of the shops and we're in and out of the sun all day, so we were pretty wiped out by that night. I picked up some Alligator Jerky that is really really good, and found a cheese shop with some interesting cheeses, (like a chocolate cheese I had never even heard of huh.gif). I wound up buying some delicious 9 year old aged chedddar that would almost crumble when you touched it, (the stuff was $16 a pound but sooo worth it!). I found a really nice garlic white cheddar too, (I love cheese by the way cool.gif ). I hit the hot tub back at the cabin for awhile and got a whole 4 hours of sleep for the trip back home, so it was all good thumbs_up.gif

Lord Gandolf,
I agree with you that summer is here. With a vengence. We are already hitting upper 90's to low 100's with humidity. (which we are not accustomed to). If this is any indication as to what our summer will be like, I think I will move way north. wink.gif

It will get 100 plus later, but our humidity will be in the single digits. I STILL stay in with both ACs set to Arctic, sit between them and read with a good cold beer! GOD! I HATE summer!

Sounds like off the battlefield we could comfortably enjoy a room together, sounds like my kind of environment!

And yes...summer is an evil thing, I miss living in Maine so. Our temperatures were quite similar to yours, still hot, but milder summers and lots of good ole snow. Good fluffy white snow, the likes of which these hillbillies in Virginia could never handle cool.gif
This lot hears of 1" of snow two counties away and panic sets in, its quite laughable. I can remember going to school with a foot of show on the ground and going out with a shovel and poking the ground trying to find the mailbox below us, good times!
