When I turned on the News this morning I was stuned to hear the Walter Cronkite had passed away at age 92. Even here in Ontario he was watched and respected.
America has lost a great man and a I offer my condolences not only to his family also to the American People,

Camac.

I grew up in the day of Cronkite. He was a REAL Newsman, you got the news un-cluttered with bias or opinion. Unlike today, when you get the bias and opinion un-cluttered with news!
We could use more like him today. He and his style will be missed.

Yes, real journalism is all but dead. He most certainly deserves greater memorial and respect than a pop star.

Definitely the best. That voice was so distinctive.

Walter Cronkite was definitely one of the last real journalists. When he stopped doing the news, I stopped watching it. I felt that there was no one who could ever reach the real stories the way that he did. The realism has really left journalism.
