I don't know if some of you have ever heard of Quimper pottery but it's very famous this side of the ocean laugh.gif . I found an interesting article about it :

Hi Celtica! I had never heard of Quimper pottery. It is very lovely! I really like that horse-shoe shaped piece at the beginning of it. Very nice! Thank you for sharing this!

If you want to have a larger view on Quimper's faïence, just check these sites, you can even become members of the Quimper Club International, and guess what ? the annual meeting took place this year in Chicago ! laugh.gif

Here, in every house there a piece of Quimper, inherited from our grandmother or bought last month in our favorite supermarket...it's traditionnal. For example, most of us have at least one "eared-bowl" with our firstname written on it wink.gif . Something like that :

How wonderful!
I really like the plate with the blue border and the three dancers on it. I really need to look into this culture more -- it is my real ancestral claim to celticness, even though I love the scottish heritage so much.

Thanks so much for these links.
