Hello Folks,
Just wanted to notified members about some changes to Celtic Radio.
Starting today, we are going to require member log-in to access a lot of our community features such as the forum, special radio pages, photograph albums, and about a dozen other pages.
The reason being is that our web server is being overloaded with guests browsing our website which we suspect our not real people but crawling engines that like to examine websites. It really slows down our website and sometimes effects our broadcasts too.
Another security check we are implementing is that new members will not be able to use the Private Messaging System or Email other members until they have posted atleast 5 messages in the forum. I don't think it is much to ask if you want to be part of this community.
Through these changes we hope to focus more on the members experience and discourage some of these crawling engines that are more interested in posting spam.
