John, Rindy, Haynes, thank you all. smile.gif Taking the pictures is more than a pleasure. Sharing with those who enjoy them is all a bonus.

I have more suitable photos to post, but I can't get them from here.

Thanks again, everyone. I'm glad you all like them, even in these raw details.

Ange took some pictures of Coira when she put her new bucket on as a helmet, and captured this gem. I had to do something with it, it was so perfect. biggrin.gif

Thank you, lassies. I'm glad you liked it. I'll be sure to pass those pats on the back on to Angela. smile.gif

This is a new one I took on Tuesday. I was piling wood in the shop and saw this guy on the wall.... about six inches from a light bulb. Well, I knew the lighting wouldn't get any better. tongue.gif I'm really starting to feel the limitations of the stock lens, as this macro is as close as I could get. Still, I think it takes up just the right amount of frame. The funny thing is he's (and I assign gender without proper knowledge wink.gif ) actually vertical.

Oh, thanks Rose! I haven't been in this thread in a while.

Anyway, I haven't added anything in a while, so here are a few shots of the 'pond' across the road from our house, and Pringles Lake, which is about two minutes away on my daily commute. I had the Canon mounted on my tripod and ran out to catch these before leaving for work. There were bucket-loads of dew on the weeds, though, so I arrived at work with my pants soaked half way up my thighs. tongue.gif

These are stock and un-doctored photos, so forgive me if the colours don't exactly pop.

I really like this one. Believe it or not, that is the moon, and yes, those are stars. I took these probably two hours after sunset with a 30second exposure.

These aren't spectacular photos, but they were fun to take and I enjoy them for their honesty. wink.gif

Absolutely breathtaking, even in raw honesty! You are such a wonderful photographer and I strive to be as good as you one day.

It is true what you say about honest photos. It is hard to know which are true and what is not anymore with all these editing programs out there.

Thanks so much for sharing. I truly love your work! You also live in an awesome area....a place I hope to visit one day. smile.gif

Hi everybody. A very belated thank you again, Rose. These are a little less honest, but not much has changed other than some work with B/C and a bit of saturation (very little, the reds you see here are pretty much exactly what I saw, and no hue adjustments were made).

I saw this just as I was pulling into our road last night and ran to get the camera. smile.gif
