Celtic Radio Community > Technical Support > Incorrect Non-ASCII Symbols In Highlander Radio

I see titles like "Erin Grá Mo Chrói".
Google Chrome Version 83.0.4103.106 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows.
I check meta, there is UTF-8 encoding.
The same for Firefox, so I think, it is server-side problem.

Hi Alexey,

I think we can fix this. At one time I thought we had this right - but probably when we did a server restore a year ago we might have missed a setting. Give us a week or two and we will hopefully get it resolved.

Thanks for the post! Much appreciated!

Turns out that Celtic Radio is displaying the correct lettering this has to do with our broadcast partner that runs our channel servers. We are going to see if they can fix the issue. If you are a premium member you should have access to our custom Celtic Radio player which shows the correct song and artist when dealing with these special characters.

Will let you know if they can fix. Thank you.

We've checked out the new media player displaying incorrect non-ascii symbols and this is something that will be resolved in future releases of this new technology. Since this is something outside of our control we can not fix it until they release a new server version of our media player.

Our premium account still have access to our "home brewed" player and this will display the song titles correctly as well as our front page and in-App now playing page.

Great question though and something we will continue to follow up on.
