Curse you Ike!! Gas in Cherokee County, North Carolina has gone from $3.66/gal to $4.49/gal in just two days!!
Thankfully though, I managed to fill up at $3.66/gal before the Ike Spike.

LP Vinyl Enthusiast - It really needs to be in LP vinyl format for me to most certainly get it. ^^
"Your brother brought me silver, and your sister warmed my soul, but now I laugh and pull so hard and see you swinging from the gallows pole!" - from the Led Zeppelin song "Gallows Pole", 'Led Zeppelin III' album.
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
Then we've definitely got gouging going in North Carolina. Out close to Boone and Asheville, it's spiked to $4.99+ a gallon. State government's now raising heck about it like they should.
In the central part of NC, it was 3.69 when my wife went out early this afternoon and 3.79 when she came back three hours later. Also, the largest convenience store chain in the state is limiting purchases to ten gallons. (Can anyone say "artificial shortage"?)
Following excerpt from a news report illustrates wildly varying prices.:
"Cars were cutting in and out of lanes on South Saunders Street in Raleigh, where a BP was selling gas for $3.51 a gallon and a nearby Crown station was selling it for $4.79. At one point, the gas lines backed traffic onto Interstate 40."
I gassed up the car early this morning. The cost was $1.23/L (regular gas) $1.39/L for Premium (which I use). By the time I left work gas was at $1.39/L (Regular Gas); I have passed Stations as high as $1.59/L by 5:00 p.m. One of my Trades stated that the Shell Station had caution tape wrapped around the Pump Islands, as they ran out of gas & only had Diesel left. That was reported at 1:39 p.m. today.
Down to 3.59 a gallon and diesel is down to 3.85 a gallon. Have to go when I get off of work and fill everything up. Can't remember the last time diesel was below 4.00 a gallon.
