Stick around the studios of Highlander Radio and you might be surprised in the steady stream of music CDs arriving at our doorsteps each and everyday.

I might have spoken before about our Viking mail man (Yes, over 6 foot tall with pony tails on his beard) who simply just stares at us and shakes his head with each days delivery. I worry sometimes what he thinks, but so far he has not said a word to us!

Well, todays mail brought a very special CD from Scotland. It's Runrig's latest release - 'Everything You See.' Runrig has a very special place in my heart, it was one of the first groups to provide Highlander Radio with music to fill our stream - not only that but I really dig their music. A cross between Pop, Rock and Gaelic. Their music takes you away - poetry, passion and spirit.

'Everything You See' is one of those CDs that you instantly fall in love with. My mouth is just dropping listening to each and every track. This is what music is all about - when you are so moved by the songs, lyrics and sounds......it doesn't get any better than this.

Released on May 29, 2007 and received on June 4, 2007 - probably the first U.S. Radio to play and feature Runrig's new album!

Look for a review coming up soon, but until then request their songs by clicking on the album cover below:

I heard already for some time Clash of the Ash and Year of the flood. Great songs. You can listen to these on their myspace website.

I love Runrig and I hope that I can see them here in Germany in concert. It all depends on when my husband is leaving for Iraq. If they come before we leave we try to go togehter. Otherwise I am going alone or maybe with my son and my parents.

If I have to miss the concert due to deployment date - I guess I have to see if I can catch them some other time.

But Runrig is one of my favorites. I hope to get some CD's from them while I am here in Germany.

I have been catching The Year of the Flood on YouTube and have been practically salivating over it. My friend in Aberdeen is sending me my own copy of Everything You See and I can hardly wait to get it!!

My best wishes for safety for you and your family as well M.O.... biggrin.gif

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie on the site, but found you when searching for Runrig info. I'm Scots, but live in Cornwall, England. I've been a fan of the band since the 80s...my sister saw them at Loch Lomond on their Big Wheel tour, and my fiance told me on the phone today he's got me tickets to see them in October at the Plymouth Pavilions - so as you can imagine, I'm pretty excited about that!

I've listened to a few short clips from the new album, (downloadable from the official Runrig website...it sounds great doesn't it?

Very cool. Wish I were there. Do you go to any of the faerie festivlas there? I'm hoping to get to see one someday and hopefully meet Brian Fround or Blackmore's Night .

it's time to add more Runrig collection
I heard their interview on BBC Wales, but I didn't notice a new relase (I only listened 15 mins or so)

Heard Runrig here first, doing Loch Lomond Live. Well I ordered 4 of their CD's right off the bat. And I couldn't agree more, it just doesn't get any better than this. These guy's can write and play. They'll take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride. I'm looking forward to seeing them in concert as soon as I can. Mac Five, Thanks for the radio station that plays such material.
