Take a little bluegrass, a little jazz, a little folk, and a little pop. Throw it all together, mix it up with trio harmonies and you’ll find yourself in the arms of Tin Cup Gypsy. Originally from Arizona, Jordan, Cassandra, Jonathan, and their drummer Tyler have relocated to Nashville to produce a sound reminiscent of Little Big Town. Opening in 2010 for country artist Sara Evans and more recently for Celtic vocalist Orla Fallon, Tin Cup Gypsy has been winning the hearts of music lovers across the country. Calico, their latest album, showcases a multitude of instruments (from guitar to mandolin to violin) in songs which touch the heart and set the feet to tapping. Each seems to be inspired by a slightly different musical style, making Calico a unique album that will have something for everyone.

“Headlight in the Sky” sets the tone from the beginning with tight vocals, an upbeat tempo, and quick fiddling. “She Just Is” and “Jack and Jill” continue the trend with fun lyrics and bouncy beats. To balance it all out, Tin Cup Gypsy provides beautiful ballads sure to please the ear in “To The Sea” and “Bury Me.” Not to miss is the gorgeous mandolin highlighting “To the Sea.” “Wildfire” adds a tribal feel, while Cassandra’s vocals in “Secret” suggest a flirty 1920’s cabaret. Altogether, Calico’s 10 tracks add up to an album of soothing melodies and dance-worthy tunes that you won’t want to miss!

My favorite Tin Cup Gypsy song has been "To the Sea"....but I just heard "She Just Is" for the first time - I think I need to buy this album. I've commented on a couple of the other songs somewhere around here, I think, but it's time for me to get the whole album and listen whenever I want to. Good music smile.gif

YES you need to buy this album. smile.gif

Bury Me is my favorite... sort of a Deep South spiritual... gorgeous. I love Cassandra's voice.

She Just Is is really fun, and we love Chase the Sun, too. Oh, and Wildfire. And Secret.

Oh, just buy the album.
