Oh and Braveheart I've seen about 20 times Perhaps my Favorite of all time... One of the things that I am always glad to see in that movie was the loyalty and courage of the Irish lad who owned Ireland... The very best on my list...
A pretty fun movie I recently bought on DVD is Eragon. I really enjoyed it as did my 9 year old daughter. It is now her favorite. I was disappointed in how small John Malkivich's part was, but I expect more in the sequel.
Happy Feet was another we bought. That was OK, but certainly not a favorite of mine.

I liked Eragon, too - much nicer dragon that I thought it could be, but I still haven't read the book yet, so I didn't know how the author created it. If it's out on DVD, then I'll make a side trip home tonight and pickup a copy!
Has anyone seen Pathfinder yet? It seems pretty interesting, but somewhat gruesome...
I borrowed "Braveheart" recently from the library. IMHO, Mel Gibson's best movie not called "Lethal Weapon". Also I've watched all my "Harry Potter" movies for the umpteenth time. Tonight, it's going to be "Romeo Must Die" with Jet Li.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
The last movie I watched was an old Bela Lugosi movie called "The Gorilla". It was pretty funny and showed Bela in a much different light than his usual Dracula movies. I would rate it an 8/10 because for it's time it was pretty well done.
rented an old movie last night called "captain blood", it stars erryol flynn and it was in black and white!! now i see where "captain jack sparrow" got some inspiration from!!
Watched a couple old movies this week..well old to me. The first was "Ever After" with Drew Barrymore. Surprisingly, I really loved this movie, especially seeing the 16th century costumes! The second movie I watched today was "The Lake House" with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Very interesting movie and I really did enjoy it.

"The Lake House" was filmed in a Cook County forest preserve not too far from me. I know that because it was mentioned on this one locally-produced show on our PBS affiliate about the region of suburban Chicago I live in.
BTW, the DVDs I've watched recently:
Days Of Thunder (that Tom Cruise movie about NASCAR; one thing I wondered when I watched that was how many of the cars they were running back then would be able to pass an inspection today )
Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby (It was okay. A few good jokes.)
The first two seasons of the BBC comedy Coupling (that show is hilarious )
Thanks for "The Lake House" trivia, Mike. I really loved that movie. Watched "Hide and Seek" with Robert Dinero and Dakota Fanning...oh my! What a movie!
Against my better judgement, I just saw Hot Fuzz. Rather gruesome, but funny... that doesn't sound right, but it is amusing. If you've seen "Shaun of the Dead", you will get the idea of what goes on.
I finally got to see James Bond Casino Royale- I think it was the first Bond film that I really liked. I liked the ones with Sean Connery, but I thought this one was just really well made and the actors and actresses did a mighty fine job.
I would say
