I didn't like the fourth movie at all, but loved the third one. The third book is my least favorite of the series, but my favorite of the movies. go Figure.

We don't get out that much, but when "Night At The Museum" is released next Friday (12/22), both my wife and I are going to the matinee!! From the trailers we've seen earlier this year, it looks really good. thumbsup.gif

I can't wait to see that show either! Looks like it is gonna be really funny, especially with everyone who is in it biggrin.gif

I nearly forgot (and excuse me if someone already posted this), but the movie Eragon is coming out this month, too!

Is anyone planning on seeing it? I watched three online trailers and it looks like pretty good fiction, unless you lot believe in dragon riders? rolleyes.gif

Slán for now!

I plan on taking my brother to see Eragon. He's read both of the books. The lines delivered by the main character in the previews seem a little iffy to me...but the scenery and special effects look like they'll make up for that. Currently watching "Hamlet" in English..oh joy..and then we're watching "Much Ado About Nothing"...another Shakespeare creation....

Hello greenldydragon,

Before I read your reply, I didn't know that this movie was developed from books - oops! I now see from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eragon) that this is a trilogy, with two more - Eldest and Inheritance. I will have to journey over to Amazon and see what I can do to procure a copy of the first two. The plot seems to be very interesting - perhaps more so that the HP books. cool.gif Something like a "Sword In The Stone" meets "Reign Of Fire", but with nicer dragons...

Thank you for providing this information - I need a couple of good books to tide me over during the end of the year!

Have a good night!

Hi Rindy,

I haven't seen Mr. Gibson's latest creation, but I watched the critique of it yesterday on TV and you're right - it's bloody bloody!! However, both film critics gave it "two thumbs up", for a good tale and the awe-inspiring film imagery. I guess that makes it a good film wink.gif

If you see it, please let me know what you thought - my wife is very squeamish about this sort of thing and I'm not really interested in getting lectured on the drive home sad.gif

Slán!

I am glad to hear the Casino Royal is good. As Far as my favorite Bond show any with Sean Connery.

Muircheartach, I am not sure I will see this film or not. I may rent it at sometime and point.. Let me know if you like it.

Has anyone seen Eragon? It looks good. I like dragon movies if they are well made. I liked Dragonheart with Sean Connery and Dennis Quaid.
I would also like to see Happy Feet.

We, too, saw Eragon yesterday. I enjoyed it. Thought Dragonheart was a better story though. I could not help feel that alot of the story was left out of Eragon. I left having more questions than when I went in. For instance, whats the story about the king? And the Shade? Who were the Vardon (sp?)? I did not read the book though. Maybe that would answer my questions.

Rachel Weisz does make a good dragon, though I'd rather she was in the film, instead of her voice only!!! wub.gif

I always liked the dragons in Reign of Fire. They were a nasty piece of work. haven't seen Eargon yet.

We went and saw "Night at the Museum" yesterday. It was a great family movie. It was real fun when at night everything comes alive. I liked the T-Rex chasing Ben Stiller - but I am not giving away what he did to him. tongue.gif

Dick van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller make a great team. Just can recommend it as a family movie.

I seen Talladega nights the other day. It had its funny parts but I was dissappointed, I thought it would be a lot better than it was.
