HI FOLKS,

I'm eirin,

An overall Celtic Music lover, from the most traditional to modern folk-rock & world-music fusions...

I'm from the Flemish lowlands (Leuven, near Brussels), the dutch speaking community of Belgium, following from nearby the "New Folk Wave" -music in Flanders... Do You know about the Dranouter Folk-festival, groups as Kadril, Urban Trad, Lais, Orion, Ambrozijn, ...??

I'm feeling me on my best in either which Gaelic country; Wales, Ireland, Scotland, French Bretagne... Aren't my roots out there?? Maybe in an earlier live??

When will I come (back) to Ireland??

Thanks all you Highlander Radio Folks for your warm wellcoming !!

- Sorry, my English is AS it is - my mother tongue is the Dutch one -

It's nice to read and discuss the various topics here on the forum, with in the background nothing else than the tones of my favourite Gaelics music!

Great music choice, never seen (heard) on the Internet Radio stations...
Your CelticRadio.Net breathens a wonderfull mix of Celtic spirit, old native lore, nature spirit, the Goddess,.... which is my way of life....

HERE I would like to share some photos of the places around me, where I live....

Bright Blessings,

eirin,

Nice site eirin,

It is beautiful where you grew up! Can I ask what the population is? What are the seasons like?

Thanks for your reaction, Rindy,

You loved our country you said... Yes, it has its charming places.

Me, from the flat "Netherlands" rather like some relief in the landscape, I'd like to spent my holidays in the Mountains (European Alps), more to the south of Europe, where you can also find the SUN!
We live here in a moderate climate, winters (this time of the year) are not very cold, not much of snow, summer is not very hot, autumms are rather wet and stormy weather... Spring is to look for the summer...

Today, a free Saturday was a cold (-1° C) but dry day, no snow, with a splendid sunshine... So my wife and I went out walking - early in the morning, before sunset, in the neighbourhood, near a river in the wood, (We do not have much of wood & forests...). Always with my other companion: a camera... I'd like to catch the beauties I see around me, making crops of it, in my way...

I think I would appriciate your country & landscapes very much... But it's a long way... BTW where do you live exactly??

Bright Blessings,

eirin,

eirin, excellent pics! I must say, I feel bad for overlooking this thread, though I'm not in the Photography forum too often!

These pics make me wanna go out right now, pawn my guitar, and buy a digital camera! smile.gif Seriously! Though I'd better not do that... wink.gif

unsure.gif I know I'm still kinda new around here, but could someone tell me if the pictures have been removed? Apart from the Sacred Tree, which is beautiful, I can't find any pictures.

Should I have had some sleep before posting this? wink.gif

Hi gcw57,
If you scroll back to the first post that eirin posted you should see the word HERE underlined, that is the link. If it doesn't work for you let us know. It should though. Sometimes its hard to tell if something is a link when people do that. Its great to put pictures in the photo section of the forum that way no problems of them getting deleted either. I hope this helps..

Great pictures! I spent some time in Europe in the late 80's and loved it. I wouldn't mind going back to live there for a while. Thanks for the look.
