Hunkering down here in New England. 2 to 3 feet of snow expected.
Milk - check Bread - check Beer - check!
However, I woke up this morning and it was very cold and then realized no hot water. YIKES! Looked at the furnace and it was not running. My emergency call card says hit reset button only ONCE. So me not being a real handy guy (I have trouble hitting a nail without bending it) say where is that??? After a little looking, I find it and press it and bingo it goes on. Hooray! However I called the furnace guys and there coming out now to check it out. Whew!
Got a new snowblower this year. Ready to roll it out! Maybe I'll read a book. Haven't done that in a while. Any good books out there? I certainly will be listening to Celtic Radio! Please power stay on........
Saturday AM. STILL SNOWING! Looks like 2 feet plus but it's hard to tell because of all the wind and snow drifts. Some snow drifts up to 4 feet by my door of the house. Going to have to shovel out of my house. Went out last night to try to snow plow my driveway when the height was 12 inches to knock some of it down. I think it didn't matter as the snow just blew back over it as quickly as I did it. Never lost power (so far, knock on wood!) like most of my family did closer to the coast of Massachusetts. We still have plenty of food and beer. Leinenkugels Snowdrift Vanilla Porter was the drink of choice. Excellent beer and very appropriate.
