Skipper's Alley presents a personal and unique blend of sound that feels like a true breath of fresh air. As opposed to simply performing classic Celtic music, the band is truly striving to stamp their own imprint on their music, and they are definitely succeeding.

Their most recent self-titled album features numbers such as "Rockin' The Boat", probably one of the best folk tracks we've had the chance to listen to this year.

Could not agree with you more. Had the chance to help get this CD made (through Fund It, I believe) and these folks can really play! If this is the future of Trad music, it's in good hands!!

They emailed us tonight and are thrilled about the review. That is great that everyone can make a difference and fund all of these worthy projects that before would require only local funding.

I really do feel that the future is extremely bright with this younger generation of folks coming up. Not just in music, but just shedding the old stereotypes of the past and really accepting people for who they are. I think they are going to go far to make this world a better place.

These guys are fantastic! I have found a new band to follow! Thanks Celtic Radio for bringing them to our attention. That's' what is great about this site.

Here's a live performance of them on the Late Late Show:
