"Irishness is not primary a question of birth or blood or language; it is the condition on being involved in the Irish situation, and usually of being mauled by it."-Conor Cruise O'Brien
It is in the high 80s here in the desert! Many of us are getting sunburned and experiencing sun poisioning/heat exhaustion already! Hard to believe, I know....but it is very intense sun here and of course very dry.
hope those of you who have experienced harsh winters are getting some relief!
LOTL! I bet you wish you weren't here now! We are getting hotter and hotter here in the desert. I feel very badly for those who are having to deal with such bad weather everywhere else though.
today was cold and snowy...good news!!! Spring starts this coming Tuesday. The spring peepers are out in full chorus and the earth worms have come out to do what ever they do this time of year...
Hope all of you have warmed up. Here in the west it has been so warm. It's suppose to be in the upper 60's and maybe hit 70 degrees. It's not good as all the trees are budding out and we are sure to get a frost. Our last frost date is May 15th..
Beautiful all this weekend with clear skies and all day today all the way up to 7:00. Now we seem to be having a full blown blizzard with a temp of 42?
Clear and kinda chilly today. We're supposed to get some thunderstorms coming up from Kansas in the early AM though.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

well we had our spring back to winter- the snow is blowing its 30 degrees winter is back. Thats ok we need some precipitation. Then I suppose it will go right into summer and then 100 temps ick, rather have snow.
so i went to six flags magig mountain yesterday (i love roller coasters, there's nothing like 2 minutes of sheer, up-side-down terror!) and it starts raining! mind you i'm in valencia, beautifeul, sunny southern california where i'm used to the average winter being only about 1 month, and a record low of 65 decrees farenheit!!! so maybe 5 minutes into it raining it friggin hails! Then it snows. mildly, but snow is like the eighth wonder of the world for me...im very ill-prepared for this; i wore street shoes, tee-shirt and a light weight zip-up jacket, and thin cotton pants! i literally froze for a bit, i couldn't work my thumbs or fingers, so my sister had to help me zip up my jacket! i don't do cold. i'm like a chihuahua...chiwawa...i don't spell either!
finally! spring is on the way!!!i actually am down to two layer of outer clothing!!!!it's supposed to be +4C today....the last couple of days have been very sunny and we had rain the other day so it got rid of some of the snow!!!!oh i feel a happy dance coming on!!!
